Question about 1994 Oldsmobile Achieva Special Edition
My car didnt start and i heard 3 clicks 3 days later it started right up after i turned it off it didnt start again i changed the ignition switch, still nothing, now when i try to start it i hear alot of clicks in a row, please help.
Yeah The solenoid might be going bad, also you might want to make sure the battery terminals are not loose.
make sure you have a good connection on the post of the terminal battery. most people overlook this, thinking the battery is going bad. if all is well with that. then perhaps you do have a bad solenoid.
replacement might be in order

If you are hearing loud clicking, this is usually the starter silinoid. This part makes a loud clicking sound if the battery cannot supply enough amperage to operate the starter to turn over the engine. The battery must supply at least 80 to 100 Amps on a normal day to start the engine.
The battery can only be tested for amperage output with a load tester. The battery may be defective from age and use, or from the alternator going defective and damaging the battery.
