I have a '11 Toyota Camry LE, the VSC, and engine light are on. I have these codes from the local auto parts shop: C1201, P0171, and P0101.

code p 101 refers to mass air flow(MAF)sensor/volume air flow(VAF) sensor --range performance problem====causes --intake leak/blockage---MAF/VAF sensor

code p 0171 refers to system to lean bank 1===causes ---intake /exhaust leak---AIR system---MAF/VAF sensor ---fuel pressure/pump---injector/s---HO2S ( heated oxygen sensor --the one in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter bank 1)

I don't have a listing for the c code but from the other 2 codes I would be checking around the maf/vaf sensors and the HO2S sensor (replace)
start with checking the wiring and connections to both units

Where is iat sensor on 2006 toyota tacoma 4.ol 4door located ?

This is the 2001-2012 Toyota Tacoma wiring diagram, Toyota Tacoma IAT (Intake Air Temperature) Sensor Location and the Toyota Tacoma MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor Location, also included is a pinout of the sensor. You are likely installing a performance chip or a cold air intake kit for increased HP (Horsepower). You will want to be sure to disconnect the car battery before adding performance products.

Here is the Toyota Tacoma's Iat sensor diagram:

1997 mercury cougar xr7, egr valve exhaust tube became loose followed by air leakage and lost of engine power, I tightened the exhaust tube but the loss of engine power still remains.. I tap on the gas,...

Have to replace egr gaskets that burn away or tubes that rust out

What you have is exhaust system leaks & a lack of fuel control or
fuel trim, where the oxygen sensors are saying one thing and the cars computer doesn't know about the unmetered air getting in after
the maf sensor, thus the poor perfromance

You can not have ANY vacuum leaks-- evap system, intake, exhaust,
you get the idea

Try removing & capping the vacuum hoses to egr
The egr valve may be bad

Replace any oxygen sensors over 100,000,miles
Replace spark plugs in motor over 3 years
Clean Maf Sensor (crc maf cleaner)

PO174 AND PO171\

code p 0171 refers to system too lean bank1===causes ---intake /exhaust leaks--AIR system---MAF/VAF sensors --fuel pressure/pump--injector/S=== HO2S
code p 0174 refers to system too lean bank 2====causes intake /exhaust leak---fuel pressure/pump---injector/s---AIR system---hose connection/s
the fuel pressure is adequate
The HO2S is the heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold /pipe before the cat converter
( is responsible for the fuel ratio settings )
you may have to pull the injectors to have them cleaned and tested
the maf/vaf sensor may have to be replaced as well

Possible causes are as follows, I suspect you have an intake air/vacuum leak or a faulty MAF sensor. - Intake air leaks
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Lack of fuel
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Incorrect Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) hose connection

Water vapor coming out of an exhaust pipe is normal especially when car is cold and pipes are cold. After complete heat-up vapor will appear clear.
It is unlikely that any water could get in your crankcase but you took the extra step to ensure the oil is clean. There was a lot of water in the engines intake and that is what you concentrate on. Dry the top of the engine in the hot sun, after removing all the pockets of water in the intake air system. Add some dry gas and injector cleaner to the gas tank and drive the car enough to clear out any latent moisture. Only if the water damaged a MAF Air Sensor will you need to buy or replace anything. It should start clearing itself up.

Cat is usually damaged from vehicle misfiring, Those codes you posted are a MAF, idle control, and 02 sensor codes. The MAF sensor could be reading incorectly causing the car to run rich or lean, and giving the 02 sensors bad readings, i would deffinetly look into the MASS Air Flow sensor, which is located on the intake tuping near the airbox

You can also try cleaning it with MAF sensor cleaner

sounds like the MAF (mass airflow meter) on the intake just before the air filter, or the o2 sensor on the exhaust downpipe, MAF more likely.

As you say could be an airleak of unmetered air, need pressure tested to prove that. Or spray wd40 over intake pipe work, if it revs up you have found a leak, as it sucks the gas in an burns it.
