Start with poppin out the black piece that looks inline with the mirror, they are on pop out plastic rivits. but be careful to pull them out. then pop out your door lock window like panel, you know where you unlock your doors ant roll the windows up from the front of the piece then tilt it back then simply unplug the modules hooked onto it. theres a couple of screws along the whole door panel and you gotta look for them, once you find them all then to take the door panel off, simple lift the entire panel up and out.. there placed on hooks so they wont *** out..remember to be forceful but be easy when doing all this...

Check this guide as reference for solve ypur problem; this is one DIY about replace Wing Mirror... 1.- Disconnect your negative battery cable, if your Ford Focus has power side mirrors. If it has manual side mirrors, disconnecting the battery is unnecessary. 2.- Pry off the wing mirror's inside sail panel (shaped like a triangle). Insert a trim panel tool between the door skin and the plastic panel to pry it off. 3.- Carefully pull the sail panel away, minding the wiring if the mirror is power-operated. Unplug the electrical harness and set the panel aside. 4.- Open the door and hold the outside part of the wing mirror steady. Remove the mounting bolt with a socket wrench, and then remove the mirror screw with a Phillips screwdriver (the mirror bolt and screw is visible with the panel removed). 5.- Pull the wing mirror assembly from its mount (from the outside). Insert the replacement mirror assembly in place; tighten the bolt and the screw. 6.- Attach the wiring connection to the replacement mirror. Position the sail panel in place and push it against the door to snap it back on.
Hope helps (remember comment and rated this). TY for using Fixya.
to remove panel there are one 7mm screw behind small black cover that covers back side of mirror. two 7mm screws in the arm rest holes.. and two more on very bottom of trim panel. with all the screws out lift strait up on panel and it should come off
1. remove the door panel by pulling lightly on the door panel.
2. remove the tweeter (small black thing in the corner of the door in front of the mirror).
3. unplug mirror if electric
4. remove the 3 mirror retaining bolts
5.replace with new mirror and reverse these steps
You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you can remove the bolts holding the mirror onto the door and disconnect the cables from the mirror going into the door
Your going to have to remove the inside door panel to get to the three bolts that hold the out side mirror assembly. Once you have the door panel off you'll see the three bolts that hold the mirror assembly, just un-bolt and un-clip the wire harness to the electric/heated mirror. To install the new mirror assembly, just do everything in reveres. Go to Auto Zone and by extra door panel clips, there is a good chance of breaking some of the retainer clips and Auto Zone will have the step by step instructions to replacing the mirror assembly and the removal to the door panel. Good luck and keep me posted. Be glad to help.
