I have replaced a bad fuel pump, and drove my car for an hour last night no problem, this am it would start and run for a min. and shut off, so I replaced the pressure regulator and it still wont star

Did you change the fuel filter when you changed the fuel pump? If there was any water in the gas, it can cause the filter media to swell and effectively plug an otherwise clean filter.

Location of fuel pressure regulator on 2006 dodge caravan 3.3

Replace fuel pump and filter that is not a regulator problem.
Bad fuel regulator will cause vehicle to surge at cruise speed or they leak and cause engine to suck excessive fuel into intake if vacuum control then blows black smoke.

'92 chevy lumina van running rough after fuel pump replacement

mass airflow sensors don't have a vacuum line, you sure you don't mean the EGR valve? if it was the regulator i doubt it would run good or make much of a difference unplugging the vacuum line, take a reading of the fuel pressure, if it starts to drop while the van is running you have a bad regulator.

SYSTEM WONT BLEED

diesel engines high pressure pumps not suppose run dry.diesel fuel keep high pressure pump cool and lubricated.problem could be fuel pressure regulator in the fuel filter water separator housing.replace fuel filter see if it helps problem could be fuel pressure regulator in fuel filter housing, the fuel pressure regulator has a air bleed orifice that allows vent to the fuel tank.make sure fuel pump fuse okay pump getting power. i would let garage or dealership check it out if all fails because your diesel engine fuel timing is pcm controlled if let fuel system go dry you probably have to have fuel injection timing reset or could have damage high pressure pump letting it run dry i hope thats not the case because high pressure pump not cheap part i hope it not that.

I have a 1989 for van e250 when i drive it for a while it will cut off and want star back up ,it need to kool off before star it i try fuel pump filter and relay and fuel regulator to

Two of the most common causes of stalling when hot are the ignition module and pickup coil. It is very difficult to diagnose a problem like that. Sometimes you have no choice but to pick one component and replace it then drive the van until you're either satisfied the problem has been resolved or it stalls again. If it stalls again replace the next component and repeat. If you have the expertise and equipment to diagnose such a problem you'll have to carry it with you and when it stalls try to get it diagnosed before the problem disappears and the van starts.

I am trying to replace the fuel filter on my 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Van. I can't seem to find it. Can you tell me where it is located?

Fuel Filter for 5.2 L Removal & Installation To Remove:

NOTE: The combination fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator is located on the top of the fuel pump module.
  1. Before servicing the vehicle refer to the precautions at the beginning of this section.
  2. Remove or disconnect the following:
    • The fuel tank
    • Any debris around the filter/regulator to prevent contaminants from entering the pump module
    • The fuel filter/regulator from its rubber grommet by twisting and pulling straight up CAUTION
To prevent damage to the coiled fuel line, ensure the filter/regulator is not more than three inches from the fuel pump module.

    • The old fuel line clamp, by carefully cutting it ensuring not to damage the plastic fuel line (discard the clamp)
    • The plastic fuel line from the filter/regulator by gently pulling downward
    • The filter/regulator from the fuel pump module
To Install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
    • A new clamp over the plastic fuel line
    • The filter/regulator to the fuel line NOTE: Rotate the filter/regulator in the fuel line until it is points toward the front of the tank.
    • The line clamp to the fuel line using special Hose Clamp Pliers number C-4124 NOTE: Do not use conventional side cutters to tighten this type of clamp.
    • The filter/regulator into the rubber grommet, pressing by hand
  2. Rotate the filter/regulator until it points towards the front of the vehicle.
  3. Install the fuel tank.
  4. Check for fuel leaks.

My chevy 1500 cargo van wont star when it rains but will when it doesent rain , but now it wont, i can hear fuel pump working but still wont start?is there a in line gas filter an could that be the...

It should have an in line fuel filter, it will be located on the inside of the frame rail same side as the tank. Also it might have a hairline crack in the distributor cap witch lets moister get inside it and that will make it hard to start when its raining.

Sounds like dirty gas and the fuel filter is clogged...try changing the fuel filter...some are under the car, but most are mounted against the firewall in the engine compartment.

could be a clogged fuel filter. How long since you changed it?
It is located bolted to the frame on the drivers side. They only cost $7.00 so I would try this.
