Usually does it at first start in am , crank pulley is good , ps pulley is good and ac pulley is good. Alignment is perfect , I checked it with a laser alignment tool. I also tried tensioning it real tight but still sqeals like a banshee. Maybe you have some ideas, the noise is very annoying

I checked the spin on the ps pump and the ac pump, they seem ok and there is no demand on ps when started, I'm wondering if temperature and moisture has something to do with this , it's colder here now

None of my pulleys will turn on my jeep Cherokee larado

with the belt on or off? If when off, anything not turning means the bearings are probably frozen. The units would need replacement. Its a coincidence that all are not turning at the same time. CHECK CRANK & CAMS WITHOUT THE BELT. IF THOSE ARE N/G YOUR STARTING TO LOOK AT A MOTOR REPLACE OR SERIOUS REPAIR.

Ac, altenator & crank pully alignment

The crank pulley is a 2 piece part, the outer pulley "ring" is insulated from the inner pulley by a special sandwiched rubber ring. The outer pulley on may "walk" off the inner pulley due to engine vibration, this is most common on 4 cylinder engines. The crank pulley is the only pulley that can do this.

Belt noise on 1988 f150

Look into pulley alignment. Often the PS pulley is found to be slightly out of alignment. This presumes good quality belt, correctly tightened.

I have a 2003 buick redevous 3.4 the tensionor went out and had to replace the idler pulleys, since i have done that my belt keeps tracking half way off the crank pulley any sugestions

This sounds like a bad crank pulley or the wrong pulley was installed or installed incorrect, you will need to remove the belt and check the alignment of the pulleys, check the tensioner also. most times a bad tensioner will cause this problem. the alignment will be of a little, it doesnt take much to have belt ride off the pulley, take a good look and double check pulleys that were replaced. good day.

Can i see a diagram for putting a serpentine belt on a 3.8 Ford Mustang

Start with crank, to ps pump, to alternator, to upper idler arm,(back side of belt) to AC compressor, to lower idler pulley, to waterpump,(this will be on the back side of the belt) back to crank. The tension for the system is on the lower idler pulley under the AC compressor...hope this helps.

is the battery light coming on and/or no power steering?? thats a broken belt. pop the hood and look down between the radiator and the engine. there should be one or two black rubber belts around the crank, ac, ps, alternator pulleys. if youre missing a belt you need to get a new one. check the pulleys to see how many belts there should be. there

1997 Ford Probe that keeps throwing alt belts

There was a service bulletin in the 90's about the power steering pulley alignment. It is pressed on and some of them caused a belt misalignment issue. Over time, your pulleys and bearings have worn causing this problem to be exaggerated. The first place to start is checking the condition of these pulleys and bearings. Visual signs of wear and looseness of bearings are easily checked by a qualified technician. A worn tensioner can change the belt alignment at different positions. It may look good at idle, but may tip to one side as it adjusts going down the road. Pulley alignment is usually checked with a simple string lined up on all pulleys (in the same groove of each pulley). If one pulley is out of alignment with the others, the belt can easily walk off over time. I have also seen a different brand of belt being just a bit shorter, causing misalignment of the tensioner. So start with a good visual inspection and go from there. A helping hand is good when checking pulley alignment from different angles. This problem CAN be fixed! I hope you find a conclusion to your problem.

Ford 302 in E-150 is turning all drive belts into dental floss

Here are a few choices. If equipped with A/C the air could ice up the compressor and stop the a/c clutch, shredding a belt. Width of belt pulley, if narrow pulley has fat belts and fat pulley has narrow belts, then possible to shred. Has anyone cranked down the damper on the crankshaft? If the bolt comes loose or the woodruff key is worn you could get a wobble from the crank.
