Spark, but not firing

Three things are required for an engine to run: 1] Fuel/Air Mixture; 2] Compression; and 3] Ignition (Spark). Since you advise spark is present, and barring major mechanical malfunction we'll assume compression is also... which leaves fuel. The easiest way to verify a fuel delivery problem is to remove air cleaner and spray starter fluid or carb cleaner into the air intake and try starting with substitute "fuel". If it trys to run briefly, then you are not getting gas to the engine. Check the fuel pump fuses, as these can blow. The newer cars also have a impact detection device that will shut down fuel delivery if a frontal impact has occurred, but these sometimes are too sensitive and misfire from a minor bump. That would have to be reset by a qualified tech. If the fuses are good, you might need to replace the fuel pump, but check the wiring connections first. The Durango probably has a submersible electric pump mounted inside the gas tank, and they can be a challenge to change out, plus the new high pressure injection pumps are a little pricey for what they are, but if you gotta have it, you GOTTA HAVE IT!
