Question about 1999 Buick LeSabre

1 Answer

I have a 99 LeSabre with dynaride. I had a problem with it deflating on the high way. I would pull over, shut it off, start it, the compressor would fill it up, travel 50 or 60 miles and it would do it again. Just the high way. Not in town. Two weeks ago, my wife comes home and the dynaride is fully inflated and it wont come down. I havent touched any thing since it all started. Any suggestions?

Seems like the problem is in the level sensor, the compressor is obviously working and so is the vent valve if it is draining down sometimes and airing up others. I would start with a height sensor

What kind of rear struts do i need if i want to tow with a 99 buick lesabre?

Here's my tip.... Your springs are what holds the vehicle up, the shock absorbers or struts are to stop it bouncing. Sounds to me like your springs are too soft and cannot hold up the load you are trying to carry.

Where is the location of the high low pressure switch on 95 buick lesabre

compressor comes on and off normally mean low on freon or compressor is going out, i would check freon first. low pressure is normally the bottom line but you may want to ask someone at your local part store to pull the diagram to make sure

What is dynaride?

Dynaride means that your rear shocks have electronic level control. There is a sensor mounted to the rear suspension. If you add some luggage or persons to the car the rear lowers. The sensor senses this down movement and starts the air compressor which is mounted in under the hood (left fender area). This compressor pumps air into the rear shocks compensating the additional load, so the car remains at proper level all the time. If you start the engine with a delay of about 20 secs the compressor should run for a view seconds to build up the minimal pressure the system needs. If the engine is stopped also with some delay of 30 sec. the release valve opens to vent out all the air.

My rear air bags are too high and will not deflate. The sensor is connectod ok on the rear arm. How can I deflate it manually. It is on a 1994 mark VIII

you can remove the rear lines at the air bags to deflate. most likely the problem is the air suspension control module is not turning the venting valve on to release the air from the bags.

What kind of STRUTS do I need for my LeSabre that's a DYNARIDE ???

Hello: You might can get the original equipment struts from the Buick Dealer but they will be expensive if they are available. Auto manufacturers are only required to provide parts for 10 years. A good aftermarket shook would probably be fine.

yes and no i would check the fuse and replace if needed but it sounds like the air ride has a hole in the bag or the leveling valvle is gone out

AC Wont charge after replacing components

whenever the ac system has been opened it should be hooked up to a vacuum pump designed to evacuate the ac system of any foreign debris and oil etc and after should be able to hold a vacuum to show that there are in fact no leaks then if all is ok at this point you can then charge your ac with the proper freon specified for you car when the pressure reaches satisfactory level the ac compressor will then cycle on you should not bypass the low pressure switch
