I'm sure that you can locate something on u-tube, but it is not a hard job, you will need a special tool thou for the fan nut. Most large part stores will have the tool that you can rent to get the job done.

Where is the water pump located? I had something blow and its leaking raidaitor fluid around pully system? What do I need to take apart to find the water pump?

Your fan & pulley are bolted to the waterpump. You need to remove plastic fan schrod, then fan, pulley, belt then you will see waterpump bolted to front of engine. Stop by any good parts store, have them look up waterpump and show you what it looks like. Then you'll know what to look for.

Fan is wabling on a 1997 jeep, the belt is still on for now, we can't start the jeep up because it hit the schroud.

Now its a couple of things that may be wrong...1 is your waterpump may be bad, and the shaft is wobbling back and forth...2. it could be your fan clutch...or 3. it just maybe the fan blade itself..sometimes they wear out, because they are made up of plastic...however you can easliy see that, and move it around..and make sure all the bolts are tight..

So. check the waterpump, by tring to shake the fan up and down and side to side, and see if the shaft move, then its the waterpump...the clutch really wont give you too much play, it just wont spin as fast, with the engine running, Or the blade..basically it will look like its fallen off....

How to install a waterpump on a 1987 mercedes 300e ?

First of all, remove the water hose pipes, unclip radiator, lose the fan belt (see the tightening screw at the back of the generator), remove the fan belt (remember the sequence to reinstal), unsrew the fan bolt and take the fan off, then remove radiarot, behind the radiator, there is the water pump screwed by 6 bolts, unscrew the bolt and u will get that! Hope this will solve the problem

Waterpump removing fan

Well, if it's a 5.0L engine, remove the 4 bolts holding the fan to the pulley. If it's a 4.0L engine, you need to hold the waterpump pulley still and break the nut loose holding the fan clutch to the waterpump. If you don't have a wrench that big, try using a long chisel on the edge of the nut and hitting it very hard with a hammer to break it loose.

OVERHEATING

Yes clutch fan could be bad,Radiator could need flushing, could have blown head gasket. To check clutch fan use a broom handle to see if fan will stop rotating when running at operating temperature. Not something you should do yourself as it takes practise to do without damaging fan if its still in good working order. If fan is not working very well this test shows it to be faulty very quickly as therse no resistance to the broom handle trying to stop it.To check if head gasket is an issue a TK Head test will show it up very quickly.Extremely accurate test.
