How Many Oxygen Sensors On A 2002 Buick Lesabre?

oxygen sensors ( O2S) are located after the cat converter/s
heated oxygen sensors (HO2S) are located in the exhaust manifold/s before the cat converters
so on a 4cyl/in line 6 cyl engine --1 of each
on a v6/v8 --2 of each

Ck engine light stay on

I battled this on my 1999 Buick Century with 3.1 liter engine...
After replacing the Crank Sensor (located under the harmonic balancer if anyone needs to know) that was not the problem.
Replaced coil packs and Ignition Control Module...again NOT the problem.
I replaced the Oxygen Sensors...NOT the problem.
I replaced intake gaskets, NOT the problem BUT highly recommended (because they are made of recycled plastic with a rubber seal strip, and yes they WILL crack and ruin an engine...look for any signs of coolant seepage around theis are...FYI)
The problem was the EGR valve, but also know, that if the EGR is the problem, you will need to clean out the "port" leading back under the fuel plantum with a very stiff piece of heavy guage steel wire.
Hope this helps and best of luck !

The oxygen sensor(s) are located in the exhaust system, before the cat. converter, but usually just after the manifold.

Where is the oxygen sensor

It's on the rear exhaust manifold. You will need a oxygen sensor socket to remove it. If you are not saving it & tend to replace it, snip wires & use a normal socket. Saves the price of the special socket! Good luck!
