I have a 2012 Range Rover Evoque Prestige and the blower motor is not working. I am looking for the location of this and also the stage resistor. I have already changed the pollen filter.

non in USA< so no books to read to you from here.
fuses are first we check them all.
and in USA we can scan the car OBD2 AND it MAY SHOW WHY.>?
blower dead , as in silent even on high.?????
try high speed mode blower first, if that works and lower speeds not the resistor block is bad. if all speeds dead , see below.
is this car manual controls or climate controls
the later uses no resistor block it uses powerful controller..
bad blower, or bad controls.
the resistor block if present at all, is on the output casing the blower
as the resistor gets super hot so is cooled by the blower air flow.

the blower can be hot wire tested in place.
it has only 2pins, one is ground other is 12vdc.
so we hot wire it using 15amp fuse jumper and yell, see it is good easy.
now know input to blower is dead.
we discover if manual or climate controls are here and I can not do this in USA<

'94 Silverado heat/ac fan not blowing. Hear clicking when selecting l,m, and high but not blowing

94 CHEVY Silverado ????,heat/ac fan not blowing. K1500?????? Hear clicking when selecting l'm, SET high but not blowing! WITH AIR OR NO A/C? FIRST IS FUSES, MAKE SURE THE BLOWER FUSE IS NOT BLOWN.
EASY NO? CHECK ALL FUSES FIRST. ON ALL ELECTRICS FAILING OF ANY KIND.
BAD FUSE, BAD WIRINIG , BAD CONNECTIONS. OR EVEN BAD RELAYS TO THE BLOWER OR BAD SWITCH BLOW.
THE OLD CARS , HAD A SPEED BLOW , RESISTOR BLOCK
THAT FAILS ON ALL SPEEDS BUT HIGH, SO ITS NOT THAT.
OWN A VOLT METER????
HERE IT IS, ANY OF THIS CAN FAIL THIS OLD
WE USES A VOLTMETER TO FIND THE POINT OF FAILURE.
A SHORTED BLOWER MOTOR CAN BLOW LEFT SIDE TOP
FUSABLE LINK.RIGHT FUSE BLOWN MAKES THE CONTROLLER DEAD.

2000 Chevrolet Impala blower motor work from 1-4 but not on 5th speed why?

The blower motor relay is energized when the Blower Motor Control is set to the High position. This removes the blower motor resistors from the circuit and battery voltage is then applied directly from the HVAC BLO fuse (RH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) to the blower motor though the relay switch contacts. The blower motor then runs at high speed.

HVAC Blower Controls Circuit Description
The blower motor is a variable speed motor. The motor operates at a higher rate when voltage is increased to the maximum level.
The blower motor resistors reduce the voltage supplied from the A/C FAN fuse (LH IP Accessory Wiring Junction Block) when the blower control is set at low and medium speeds (speeds 1-4).

What is an AC diode fuse? I have a 2006 AWD Pontiac Torrent the AC/Heat doesn't work, I've changed all fuses for the HAVAC and still no AC/Heat blowing out of vents. What could be the problem?

Could be a number of thing's ! Testing the electrical circuit is the way to find out what's wrong . Using a wiring diagram and a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Videos on youtube showing how to test it ! Without testing i would only be guessing . Does it work in high speed ? In high speed it by-passes the resistor . If it doesn't work in any speed more then likely the blower motor is the problem !
Air Speed
The HVAC control assembly applies ground to the blower motor control circuit that corresponds to the selected blower speed. The resistors and the blower motor are in a series circuit. The following list represents the number of resistors in series with the blower motor per particular speed request:
• Low speed--3 resistors
• Medium 1 speed--2 resistors
• Medium 2 speed--1 resistor
When the operator requests High speed, the HVAC control assembly applies ground directly to the blower motor through the high blower motor control circuit. The resistor card has a fusible link which, if blown, will require that the card be replaced.

I have only high speed on my ac/heat switch. have replace acdelco blower motor resistor 2 times already. works for a while and quits. whatelse do I need to check etc?.

If you have replaced the blower motor resistor block twice all ready, i would be replacing the blower motor itself. When the blower motor is drawing too much current it burns out resistors for lower fan speeds in resistor block, but doesnt blow fuse for fan. Also check for leaves and stuff in fan when removing fan.

01 grand.prix ac fan switch only works on high. has a duel temp controller when you turn fan off the only way fan comes back on is to move the temp controller levers

Hi!!
When the Blower Motor Resistor (controls blower speeds) goes bad, the blower motor works only on HIGH SPEED. REPLACE IT.
BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR Removal & Installation
  • Disconnect negative battery cable.
  • Remove right lower instrument panel insulator panel.
  • Disconnect blower resistor connector located behind right side of dash.
  • Remove blower resistor screws and blower resistor.
To install, reverse removal procedure
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa!!

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Htr/AC fan switch only functions @ highest speed. At lower speed settings I can hear doors opening and closing---but not air.

replace the blower motor resistor. It controls the fan speeds. It defaults to high speed only when it fails.

How to replace the blower motor resistor block: Caution: Stay clear of the blower motor and resistor block (Hot). Do not operate the blower motor with the resistor block removed. 1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Remove the glove box from the instrument panel.
3. Pull out the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector to unlock the connector latch.
4. Depress the latch on the blower motor resistor wire harness connector and disconnect the connector from the resistor.
5. Remove the two screws that secure the blower motor resistor block to the HVAC housing.
6. Remove the resistor block from the HVAC housing. Installation:
1. Position the blower motor resistor block into the HVAC housing.
2. Install the two screws that secure the resistor block to the HVAC housing. Tighten the screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.)
3. Connect the wire harness connector to the resistor block.
4. Push in the lock on the blower motor resistor wire harness connecgtor to lock the connector latch.
5. Install the glove box.
6. Reconnect the battery negative cable.
7. Have a nice day!

1998 olds delta 88 lost fan control, ac control, and rear window control all at once have power to fuses and tried differnt switch assembly in dash

It might not be a fuse that goes to that it might be a relay thats under your hood in the fuse box. Just a idea for you to try. Hope this works out for you.

My ac only blows on high

Blower motor resistors or speed selector switch.
There are no resistors for high speed its straight B+ to the blower motor. You know the motor is good. So the onky two items left are resistors and switch.

AC only work on high speed

If the blower motor only works on the high speed it most likely needs to the blower motor resistors replaced. Sometimes when replacing the resistors the dealer recommends that the blower motor be replaced in conjunction. It's believed the blower motor burns out the resistors. The resistor pack is either in the engine bay mounted on the heater box or under the passenger side of the dash board.
