I have a 2007 Buick LaCrosse. The Service vehicle soon message is showing and my traction control light wont go off. Help

This year model requires a diagnostic scantool to retrieve trouble codes from the computer, most autoparts stores in the US can help you get these codes for free, try autozone, pep boys, O reilly etc.The trac control light will turn on whenever the service soon light comes on by default, the system is disabled until the light is fixed.

How do you change the o2 sensor on a 2003 impala

I wouldn't trust anything the Zone tells you. Most oxygen sensor codes are NOT caused by the oxygen sensor. Of coarse, a lot has to do with WHICH O2 sensor code you have. For example, codes P0130,P0131,P0132,P0133, P0134, P0135, P0137, P0138, P0140, P0141, P0171 and P0172, are all valid oxygen sensor/fuel trim codes for a 2003 Chevrolet Impala equipped with a 3.4L V-6 engine.
How you would go about troubleshooting the problem depends on which "oxygen sensor code" you have. Many times, the code can be fixed by simply repairing a leak in a vacuum hose. Quite often, these codes are caused by faulty mass airflow sensors. Then again, every once in a while, the problem is actually the oxygen sensor itself. However, if you go by the knowledge and experience in diagnostics that exists at the Zone, you will be changing an oxygen sensor EVERY time. Then when that does not fix the problem, you will be out the cost of the oxygen sensor, PLUS you will STILL have to diagnose the problem to fix it!

Many people think that all an automotive repair technician does is plug in the "magic box" and replace all the parts that the box (computer) tells them to replace (and the people at the Zone like it that way). TRUST ME, it does not work that way! I WISH it was that simple.

FYI: On Board Diagnostic (OBD) Diagnostic Test Codes (DTCs) NEVER tell you what parts to replace. They are called DTCs because for a trained technician, they tell him which of the hundreds of DIAGNOSTIC TEST ROUTINES to perform in order to diagnose the fault and pinpoint the CAUSE of the problem.

Just a little professional advice from someone who has been diagnosing and repairing cars for about 37 years...do with it as you will.

Check enguine light vsctrac light and vsc off light on and transmission shifts funny

Hello, the vsc/trac lights will turn on whenever the check engine light turns on first, this is a fail safe function, vsc and trac are disabled as soon as the check engine light turns on so the check light needs to be diagnosed first, you will need to have the onboard computer scanned for diagnostic codes for the engine control system, these are usually a letter fllowed by some numbers, for example a P0301 code would be an engine misfire on the #1 cylinder. If there is an Autozone store or other autoparts vhain store like advance auto, pep boys etc give them a call and take the truck there, they usually help you get the trouble code numbers at no charge, after you have this information post a follow up with the results and I can help you with a solution.

I have a gmc envoy & the trouble codes are p0107,p0130,p0135 & p0171 can you tell me what the problem can be.

P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input

P0130 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 1)

P0135 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P0171 System too Lean (Bank 1)

Check your Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor, and it might be a good time to install a new Upstream O2 Sensor.

It might also be beneficial to have your fuel pressure checked if the engine is really running Lean, but this may be caused by a faulty O2 sensor.

Yes. In all likelyhood replacing the one sensor should fix it although there are a few other potential causes to be aware of. More info - P0134 - P0135
