If you are talking about air ride system for the most part its under the hood on the driver side or the passenager side close to the fender give these websites a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your truck wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

My 5.9 dodge cummins diesel won't start, I've replaced the fuel lift pump, and the fuel filter, turns over. But will not start?

Most likely you just have air in the lines.Crack them open one at a time and bleed them with the fuel pump off and on till you get fuel.If it fires dont hit the throttle let it sit and idle and close the line.Does it fire up with a small whif of starting fluid?

Where is the fuel return check valve on an 98 24 valve cummins

I assube you mean a B. All 24v B's have three possible places up to '03. One the rear of the head, between it and the fire wall. Two, above the lift pump, the large line T's from the head and the pump returning to the tank. Three, at the rear of the injection pump on the mount. Can't miss em. They are 3/4" or 19mm (same size). Good luck

1999 dodge diesel 2500 seems to have a fuel related problem.

Please clarify the "loosing power" does it lose power and shut down or does it loose power but will idle? Your Cummins is electronically controlled so oil condition is important, fuel leaks, oil leaks, leaks in the air ducting between the turbo and the intake, sensors, water in the fuel. Do you get an engine light when this trouble happens? Dodge uses a lift pump to carry fuel to the the injection pump, is it working?

99 dodge ram 3500 5.9 turbo diesel fuel problem

It is my understanding that the fuel lft pump has been replaced( updated) and is now gone back to the old way and is re installed in the tank.

I have had to put 3 lift pumps in since new, little did I know but Cummins tells me that the lift pump delivers minimal pressure and shortens the life of your injector pump.

So if that is true perhaps it is best to eliminate the lift pump and go with the new in tank pump. I plan on doing it the next time I have a problem.
