I have a 2001 aurora and code p1860 p1860 came up what is this and how much to fix

P1860 All GM - TCC (transmission Torque Converter Clutch) PWM Solenoid Circuit Electrical.
P1860 Description The Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation (TCC PWM) solenoid valve controls the fluid acting on the converter clutch valve. The converter clutch valve controls the TCC application and release. The solenoid attaches to the control valve body within the transmission. The solenoid receives ignition voltage through circuit 239. The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls the solenoid by providing a ground path on circuit 418. Current flows through the solenoid coil according to the duty cycle (percentage of ON and OFF time). The TCC PWM solenoid valve provides a smooth engagement of the torque converter clutch by operating during a duty cycle percent of ON time.
When is the code detected? When the PCM detects a continuous open, short to ground or short to power in the TCC PWM solenoid valve circuit, then DTC P1860 sets. DTC P1860 is a type B DTC.

Possible causes - Faulty Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation (TCC PWM) Solenoid
- Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation (TCC PWM) Solenoid harness is open or shorted
- Torque Converter Clutch Pulse Width Modulation (TCC PWM) Solenoid circuit poor electrical connection. Unless you have a factory manual and very good auto repair skills this is best left to an expert. It is a messy dirty job that requires removing the parts inside the transmission for testing..

Where is the pcm located on a 2003 oldsmibile alero?

Your looking for the wrong thing. It's below the air filter inside the same box. 758 is a b solenoid circuit short and 1860 is a torque converter clutch pulse width module circuit fault. Since other solenoids are working in the transmission. It could be both those parts are bad or the internal wiring harness is bad. Both and the harness can be replace with out digging into the transmission main parts. But you have to lower the cradle on the drivers side and remove the side case of the transmission to access them.

2000 Grand Prix GT with a code of P1860. What is this code and how do I fix it?

P1860 refers to Torque converter clutch problem, what I mean is that when you go to O/D over drive the torque converter does not lock. You may have to take the vehicle into a ****** shop and they will change the modulator. Good luck and let me posted.

1999 Chevy Malibu, not shifting right. It will drive and go in reverse but it will not upshift (or downshift) while driving. ATF and Filter are good. Also trying to manually shift doesnt work. Got a few...

code p 0753 refers to shift solenoid (SS) A ---electrical===causes --wiring ---shift solenoid ---ECM/TCM
code p 0758 refers to Shift solenoid (SS) B -- electrical===causes -- same as for p 0753
code p 0452 refers to evaporative emission (EVAP) pressure sensor---low input===causes wiring short to ground ---EVAP pressure sensor ---ECM
code p1860 refers to TCC / PWM solenoid circuit breaker
the first 2 are solenoid problems in the transmission
the p1860 is the torque converter clutch solenoid / servo code p 0113refers to intake air temp (IAT) sensor --circuit malfunction===causes--wiring open circuit/ short to positive ---wiring short to ground ---ground wire defective --IAT sensor ---ECM

You might want to check for a mouse nest under the Underhood fuse block, seen them chew up wiring under there many times.
