If this fuse box diagram below is correct you have a fuse for left low beam head light and another fuse for right low beam head light and a third fuse for both the high beam headlights. If the fuse is good for the right I think I would take the left low beam head light and put on the right side and see if it works on the right side. If you think you got the wiring correct. It may be the bulb is bad from the wires which shorted out. A voltmeter or test light to the socket would save some time switching the lights. I have had the socket bad before and had to change the bulb socket. https://fusesdiagram.com/ford/fuse-box-diagram-ford-taurus-2000-2007.html
According to the wiring diagram, the left and right low beams are connected to the same wire which is
vt/or. Check for power on this wire. Also check for a good ground on the black wire.
Check out the fuse box usually found at the drivers foot well.
You need a flashlight to check any burned fuses. You will see these colored plastic fuse container and when burned you'll see the links disconnected.
Cars also carry spare that can be found in the fuse box.
Normally one fuse handles multiple electrical accessories (i.e., clock, indoor light).
If your low beams suddenly stopped working. All you need to do is to check the fuse box. You can find the fuse box by checking the owners manual. Look for the Head light low L-R fuse. check if they are blown out. If the fuse is good. check the head lamp bulbs, see if they are still okay. I hope this helps.
