Hi,

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and drain out the coolant from the cooling system when the engine is cool.
  2. Remove the accessory drive belt and the water pump pulley.
  3. Loosen and remove the water pump bolts and remove the pump from the engine.
  4. Install the new water pump, tightening the bolts to 89 inch pounds (10 Nm).
  5. Reattach the water pump pulley, tightening the bolts to 18 foot pounds (25 Nm).
  6. Reinstall the accessory drive belt and reconnect the negative battery cable.
  7. Refill the engine's cooling system with coolant. Start the car and check for leaks when the engine reaches normal operating temperature.

Donde se necuentra ubicada la pompa del agua de una caravan 96

Try this sight to translate this into English http://translate.google.com/m/translate?twu=1 The 3.0 liter has a water pump that is timing belt driven it is located behind the timing cover. The 3.3 and 3.8 are both located in the bottom of the engine closest to the radiator. You can follow the lower hose to the backside of the water pump housing. The water pump will be on the other side.

99 pontiac grand am se series 3400 liter motor i need to replace the water pump do you have to take the timing chain cover off to it looks like its all connected together

go to the library and get a book for your car with the motor you have in it.this should be a (sohc)single overhead cam motor and not the (dohc)dual overhead cam motor.the sohc motor the pump is located at the rad side of the motor and doesn`t need to have the timing cover removed.if it happens to be the dohc motor then your best to have a shop do the job as its not an easy job to do

this should be a (sohc)single overhead cam motor.this pump is located at the front of the motor towards the rad.thus you don`t remove the timing cover and easy to replace, once you remove the serpintine belt then the pulley on the pump then there are about 6 bolts that you remove to change the pump.if its the (dohc)motor i strongly suggest you have a shop do the job as its not an easy job to do and if you don`t get the timing belts timed exactly you will be sending the heads to the machine shop to repair.

1996 grand prix se running hot

it sounds like it may have air in the system there should be a bleeder valve for the coolant also if it ran hot you may have a possible head gaskt problem i would try bleeding the air out of the coolant system and if problem is still there you can buy a kit to check the head gasket it hooks to the coolant system and you pour a liquid in it and if it turns from blue to yellow it has a head gasket problem
