Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country

1 Answer

2005 Chrysler town and country van has lose power. When driving it goes from 0-70 in about 15 seconds, it appears not to have much power when trying to get up to speed. If you press down on gas to try to get up to 40mph very quick, the RPM go up, but you must let off the gas for it to change gears. However, it eventually does change gears. The check engine light is on and the code reads p0404 and p0420. I replaced the EGR valve, still same problem. I disconnected the catalytic converter and drove for a short distant, power issue still the same. We also, have checked both 02 sensors, they appear to be ok. Need help for slow poking van.

Change plugs, wires, and fuel filter. Get a cold air intake or at least a k&n air filter.
Clean the throttle positions sensor. Check for any vacuum leaks. After every sensor that you replace you have to reset the computer or the code will remain. Even after a reset, it can take up to 20 starts for the vehicle to relearn itself.

On a 08 town and country van why do the headlights go out as you're driving

Sounds like a short some where. Vehicles are made so if the lights have a short they will go out and back on for a few seconds for safety getting off the road. They come on to stay when it cools down then goes out when it heats up.

2005 chrysler town and country van, driving down the street blower motor running fine. no noise, then just quit running. what may have happened?

Blower motor is hard to replace. Test it by putting 12 volts on the connector located under the passenger dash. Polarity doesn't matter.
