Sorry, maybe I didn't understand your problem. Is your blower running when it's turned off, or what exactly is it doing that bothers you?

Sorry that I did not describe my problem in more detail. The blower is in the "off" position. When I change the position of the temp lever (from low heat to high heat), I can hear from under the glove compartment box something "clicking". It almost sounds like that some door is trying to close but was somehow obstructed by some object. I spoke with a local auto parts dealer, he said that the problem might be with "blend door" or the accturator (sp??). The net effect is: when the blower is off, there is heat coming from the vent IF the temperature level is switched to more than low. Even when it's in low temp, there is cold air coming out IF the outside temp is low. I think I tried my best to describe my problem. Please help.

I had a very similar problem on a Buick recently. Like mine, your blower's fan blade assembly may have come loose from the motor shaft. There is a very small washer type clip that holds the fan blade part to the motor's shaft. Usually the whole blower assembly is pretty easy to get to and take off...usually. A lot of GM cars had the assembly accessed from the firewall behind the engine. You would need to pull the blower motor out and check the fan assembly.

No heat coming out of windshield defrost vent .no blowin air

If it don't blow air, then either the blower motor relay is faulty, or the blower motor itself needs replaced.

No heat coming out of vents when blower is on

hi, you say there is no HEAT coming out when blower is on .. is air being blown out of the vents? .. if YES, cold air, then the problem may be an air lock/ a valve stuck closed/ or low coolant .. could be a problem with the air conditioning controls. If NO AIR blowing out of the vents and you can hear the fan blowing then investigate, controls to open and close vents, or possibly disconnected ducting .. if the car has been stood a long time it could be sticking vent/door/flap .. search internet for diagram of heating system for more information.

check your blower hoses to see if one or more have come loose or got redirected or the selector switch isn't functioning properly (is it blowing better on defrost as opposed to floor vents, or forward vents, etc.)
