Check to see if you have any power going to the compresser clutch if you dont then your gonna have to back track the wires and start testing things if you do then the electric clutch on the pump is bad its easyer and cheaper to just to replace the whole pump.

I would go to the local auto parts store and get a A/C recharge kit. When your R134a is low the A/C won't work and you won't here the clutch kick on. If you start to recharge it the clutch will start to click, follow the directions on the recharge kit and your A/C should be okay. If you A/C clutch doesn't click on (you'll know when it does), your unit it may be bad. Just depress one of the fill locations to drain your a/c system, and get a new unit to install, then charge your system. Make sure your belts are tight.

I need a wiring diagram for my 250 airconditioner clutch ok gas ok low pressure okbut willnot engage fuses ok.

if your fuses are all ok then, it maybe the low pressure switch in your rec/dry'r tank saying there's not enough pressure in system to circulate (sorry some pressure doesn't count) , so hence it wont allow the compressor clutch to engage , these systems typically should have approx. greater than 20 psi in the rec/dryer tank (low pressure) and from 90 to 110 on the high side , also if one suspects the dash control being damaged , try it on defrost setting , as that makes compressor run as well

first thing check AC compressor fuse.the AC compressor clutch should engage when you turn on airconditioner if AC compressor dont come on and fuse okay compressor clutch is open or low on refrigerant you need check your AC refrigerant low pressure side and high pressure side need a manifold gauge set. best let garage check out AC system could need system recharged or could have leak in the system.

My airconditioner was working perfectly two days ago, then started blowing tepid air, now it only works well when the temp. is in the 80's.

i think you are low on freon. your compressor clutch wont engage when you are low lift your hood and turn air off watch the compressor and have someone turn on the air and see if clutch engages on the compressor good luck

My air conditioner is blowing warm air on the driver side and cold on the passenger side

see this steps and think with clearly and logically NOT feared. God bless you
checkmark.gif Start with the compressor. Does it engage when you turn on the A/C?
If so, the compressor is working and the A/C system probably contains enough refrigerant to make cold air, so the problem is inside the HVAC unit. Replace the motor that controls the blend air door (this is a difficult job and best left to a professional since it involves tearing apart the HVAC unit -- about an 8 to 10 hour job!).
If the compressor does not engage when you turn on the A/C, see if it will run by jumping the compressor clutch wire directly to the battery (use a fused jumper wire). If the compressor works when you jump it, and the A/C blows cold air, the system contains refrigerant and the fault is likely a bad A/C compressor clutch relay or a bad clutch cycling switch or pressure switch.
If the compressor does not engage when you jump it, the problem is a bad compressor clutch.
If the clutch engages but the compressor does not turn (the belt will start to slip and squeal), the compressor is locked up and you need a new compressor.
If the compressor clutch engages and turns the compressor, but the A/C still does not blow cold air, the system is probably low on refrigerant and needs to be recharged.

Think about this:
Can you supply voltage to the clutch to engage it? Remove the connector and use wire to directly energize the clutch. The only thing that I'm unsure of is whether it is 12 volts.

yoy need it checked. could be a belt or the compressor or the compressor clutch. every time you turn the ac on the clutch engages and the compressor starts turning. if something is making a noise then there is a problem. could be excessive drag on the belt because the compressor is not turning free. is the air working ok? good luck-hope the trip goes well joe

AIR CONDITIONER QUIT WORKING

Pop the hood, start the vehicle and turn the AC on. Watch the compressor, it should have a center that rotates on an off and you should hear a clicking sound. This is the compressor clutch you are looking at. If the compressor is not doing this, check the fuses for the AC. If the fuses are good, then most likely the high side sensor switch is not working, therefore the clutch never engages and the air never gets cold.

Try that and get back to me, ok?

1998 Crown Victoria air conditioner

Fuse 9, 50A under hood, Fuse 5 15A Instrument panel. If they're ok, make sure the compressor clutch can be turned by hand (engine off, obviously). If not replace the compressor. Most common problem is the cycle switch. That should be the electrical connector on top of the accumulator. Just jump that by backprobing the connector on both sides with a pinand connect them, with the car on and a/c on if the compressor clutch engages, replace the switch. If it doesn't, try wiggling wire harness and watch it, if it engages, find a broken wire and repair it.

2005 KA blowing hot air out when set to cold

start car.turn on air conditioner high cool .raise hood look to see if the compressor clutch is engaged and running.if yes your ac air door could be stuck closed or the air door vacuum actutator not receiving vacuum.a vacuum line is broken or off. or the control switch bad.that control the AC and heater mode. if compressor clutch is not engagged.check for power at compressor clutch.if yes compressor clutch coil open. or the air conditioner refrigerant R 134 is low take car to a private garage with a good reputation. they wont be expensive as the dealership.have them hook car air conditioner to a manifold gauge set to check your refrigerant low side and high side pressure.
