you don't have to replaced the manifold just the runner control. see this all the time at work the part is about 175.00 and an hour and a half to install. your local dealer should be able to fix this for you

left rear of intake manifold, there should be a vacuum operated shaft that turns these throttle plates. You'll have to troubleshoot reason. Try turning shaft by hand. There is a vacuum switch that runs vacuum to both banks. I think it's behind the engine nearer the firewall.

on the passenger side of the engine you will see 2 small metal rods at the top of the engine just below the intake manifold there are little white clips that hold the rods on these clips usually break and the rods come off

LOOKING IN CODE BOOK.POSSIBLE CAUSE TO YOUR PROBLEM THE IMRC COULD BE STUCK OPEN.OR THE IMRC ACTUATOR IS DAMAGED OR HAS FAILED.ALSO THE IMRC MONITOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT COULD BE SHORTED TO POWER GROUND OR SHORTED TO SIGNAL GROUND RETURN.

IMRC stands for intake manifold runner controller. It is used for emission control and performance. your intake manifold has plates inside that are connected to a rod and tghe connected to the control motor. each bank of the engine can be opened and closed by the motor depending on engine load and other things.
