I have a volkswagen polo recently the abs light came on then the next day it went off but then came back on later a short while after the handbrake light came on after a beeping noise, what can the problem be?

If the E-brake light is in fact the light that is on. Then you need to find the switch that is attached to the lever. That switch isn't opening when you release the brake lever. Grounding that wire turns the light on. So either the wire is grounded or the switch is broken or out of adjustment.
Have a code scan done. Most lightly problem is one of the wheel sensors
is faulty or dirty from brake dust. As for the noise, check brake pad
wear on all 4 wheels

There may be a connection problem at your battery, I had my ABS light come on and there was no communication with the diag port, I retightned the smaller wires going to the positive battery terminal ( make sure you have your radio code as this may cause it to go into lock mode) after doing this my ABS light hasent came back on
