It could be a preset in the computer to come on at 100K for routine service and inspection. Some models will reset if you disconnect the battery for about half an hour, and proberly need to clean your battery connections any way ;)

I have a 2002 Saturn L200. What would be the cost for the 100,000 mile required maintenace?

Every dealer wants to do different thing at 100,000, but the average cost is about $400.00. Refer to the owner's manual for what GM recommends

2001 oldsmobile aurora. My check engine light keeps comeing on withcode P0171 &P0131 I replaced the plugs and that didn't resovle the problem. Someone please tell me what can I do to fix it. It's the...

Replacing plugs, seldom solves any issues

They do wear, but are a preventative maint item

You have ( 2 ) O2 Sensor codes, as I guess you know

If they are at 100,000 miles, change the front 2 only

You have a lean condition--look for a vacuum leak first.

Next problem you have-- Change spark plugs at 70,000 miles or
after you solve your issues, not a fix

If it has a lot of miles on it, it could be low compression - [ common problem on older vehicles with lack of consistant maintiance.

Automatic gearbox warning. Limited performance warning on Automatic transmission, one day it lights up the next day it does not. It says to contact service. Everything though is working fine, does it need...

always treat a warning message as serious and have it check at an accredited service center
could be that the oil needs replacing, a problem sensor or wiring or clutch/band adjustment
although there are manufacturers that say the oil never needs changing(GM for example), transmission oil suffers from extreme temperatures and loads and these factors cause oxidation of the oil (burning ) that requires the oil to be changed on a regular basis (60,000-100,000 miles or 100,000 klm

When do the cam belts require changing. Is the change time based or milage based

they say 100,000 miles now, i still think that 50,000 how it was 10-15 years ago is still right, milage based, I think waiting 100,000 is to long not worth losing motor over belt

The check engine light came on and the RPM needle

If depends on the milage of the car, some lights come on after 100,000 miles just to remind you that maintanace is require but is good idea to run the car thru a scanner to be sure.

100,000 mile service

Generally oil change and filter. Check/clean/ replace air filter. Plugs and/or leads. The tricky one is the timing belt. If it hasn't been changed to your knowledge then change it.( garage ) Brake pads and discs. Change as required. Coolant levels.
