My steering stiffens if i put on the air conditioner

By fan belt do you mean the serpentine belt that spins all your accessories? If so check the tension on the belt. The belt tensioner controls this. If the tension is good, then one of your accessories is likely not spinning like it should causing the belt to slow down when the ac is on, causing the power steering pump to not spin like it should. I would take the belt off, spin each component separately and see if anything is stiff.

Chevy tracker power steering belt change

I don't know model year? Is the radiator fan electric or belt driven? If electric look for electrical connector. Your water pump has to be driven by something. If fan is belt driven, some makes and models, that same belt drives the water pump.

What will happen if my fan belt cut in motion

Hi. Unless you ran it for a long time it is unlikely to cause any damage. If you have had it replaced and it runs ok then you should be fine, Any damage would have become evident by now. Looking at autodata the water pump does run off the belt but again you would have had to run it for a while before it overheated and then your temp gauge and warning light should have flagged up this. Make certain that the correct belt was installed. There can be a few options, usually due to alternater amperage. If you a have a belt that is slightly longer than it should be, it may slip on the pulleys, at tmes, and cause all sorts of grief!
