In my 1997 Jeep Grand herokee my check engyne light is on and the code P 1494 is coming up and reads " auxiliary Emision Control,, how to fix this

P 0031 A short or open in the heater circuit in the sensor
A failed O2 sensor heater

P 0051 same as above
P 1149 Air/Fuel ratio circuit 1

Your issue is not a do it yourself job, you need to take the car to a shop/ dealer

this is what I found for that code:Leak detection pump pressure switch or mechanical fault. I assume it's the fuel pump.

p-1494 is a Leak detection pump switch or mechanical fault within the EVAP system. The possible causes are; An intermittant bad connect in the wiring harness or at the EVAP pump. The EVAP pump is faulty, broken or disconnected vacuum hose within the EVAP system. This code can be very challenging, even to an expert.

Code 12 = Recently disconnected battery

Code 14 = Coolant sensor high resistance or shorted

Code 43 = Knock sensor or Electronic spark control circuit fault

Code 55 End read code.

danbalue, a code P1765 means Transmission 12V Supply Relay Control Conditions and P1494 means EVAP LDP Pressure Switch Fault Conditions.

po442 is evap emission control system leak (small) 1 of the lines for emissions is leaking. po455 is-- emission control system leak (large). turn off light with code scanner after it is fixed.

1494 I believe is related to the EGR
