OK, so the coolant/antifreeze is leaking out.
Where is it leaking out of, the water pump? Radiator? head gasket?

Is the coolant coming ou of the head gasket, water pump, radiator, or elsewhere?

    Is the radiator rusty?

    What year is the vehicle?

If you take it to a radiator shop, they can put a new radiator in it, but it may cost anywhere from $100 to $300 to do so, in my experience, depending on where you go.

There are stop leak products that one can add to the radiator, but they don't work well with large leaks.

on a 26 year old vehicle, I think that even salvage yards wouldn't have a second hand one.

I wish you luck on this repair.

One could try to solder it, but if the radiator is rusty, it can be futile.

Coil loses power, then works after 1/2hr. might go 1 day or a week before it happens again.

Sounds like you need to replace the coil. It will only get worse not better and it cannot be repaired. It must be replaced.

Try a high powered magnet, like the kind attached to the back of really big speakers.

How many chain links from camshaft sprocket mark to crankshaft sprocket mark on a 4G54

Click on the following free Link. It has the Timing Belt/Mark Diagrams you will need for your 1989 Mitsubishi Sigma.
You can count the number of notches on the Belt giving you the number of chain links between the Front and/or Rear Camshaft Marks to the Crankshaft Sprocket.

Let me know if this helped....

Hi mate, your best bet is to go to the library, they have the manuals there. They let you photocopy a third of the book for free, casue you cant borrow it. I've got the same motor and thats how I got all the info for it. You can either get the maual for a 2lt sigma or 2.6lt sigma or scorpion. they have the same set up and they give you all the diagrams.
Cheers
