Sound like you sucked up some water or contaminated that made it through the filter.Fill your car full of fresh gas and run or drive it for about 15 minutes. If problem persists change your fuel filter and your spark plugs.

Truck is Missing loading up on fuel I replaced the ECM/PCM the ignition coils and put new plugs in the truck ran great until it warmed up then went back to missing and loading up

missing in EFI engines can be attributed to low fuel pressures
when the requirement is for more fuel, then there is a probability that the pump cannot keep pressure up, filters are blocked, EVAP system is not venting properly
most people jump on the ignition system ( plugs , coils ,HT leads ) but forget about the fact that it needs plenty of fuel to operate properly

Starter is turning but engine won"t catch and start oil was low could that be the problem

Hi Shelley, you mean the engine turns over but won't start ? It's missing one of three things Spark , Fuel or compression ! The last time it ran , did it run ok or not good ? No blue smoke coming out the tail pipe or smoke coming from under the hood ? Were there any lights lit on the dash , check engine , oil light...etc.. How low was the oil ? If the oil had been very low an you where driving it you could have fried the engine ! Me ,if this car came to my shop I'd pull a plug wire an see if it had spark an if it did I put a fuel presser gauge on an check for fuel ! If it had fuel I'd check compression ! Most usually if low oil were the problem the engine would seas up an would not turn at all. No Start Diagnostic Basics EricTheCarGuy You can watch this to see what is involved in finding out the problem !

Engine idling rough and missing at speed

You can have a look at two possible causes - firstly check for bad spark plug leads, and secondly, if the first checks out OK, have a compression test done by a service centre
Highly unlikely but possible is bad spark plugs.

2003 Buick 3800 engine 82,000 actual miles on it multiple/random misfire code How it started.. Car was running fine. Check engine light started flashing and engine started missing. What...

You can't rule anything out yet. It could be a plug or injector among other things, but probably not low fuel pressure. If you have a code 300 and nothing else, you may have to wait until the problem gets bad enough to set additional codes. And if any of the sensors fail, such as the cam or crank sensors, you'll get a code for those to be tested.
Have the plugs been checked or replaced in the past 30,000 miles ?

I don't think the rough running had much to do with oil level, since it started running rough a 2nd time. Check the fuel filter and ignition timing.

Car would not start so replaced battery, then alternator; Ran great for roadtrip then shut down on the freeway. Can hear the fuel pump, so replaced the fuel filter; has spark. Has fuel. Wires are in good...

WHEN A CAR SHUT DOWN ON HIGHWAY OR FREEWAY.YOU CAN STILL HAVE FAULTY FUEL PUMP.IT COULD BE RUNNING BUT THE FUEL PRESSURE CAN BE TOO WEAK.THE 2.5 ENGINE FUEL PRESSURE IS 6.0 TO 7.0 PSI AND THE 3.3 ENGINE FUEL PRESSURE IS 37 TO 43 PSI. ANOTHER THING CHECK TO MAKE YOUR COOLANT IS NOT LOW.LOW COOLANT CAUSES ENGINE GET TOO HOT SHUT OFF.CHECK PVC VALVE AND EGR VALVE MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT STUCK OPEN OR DISCONNECTED.AND MAKE SURE IDLE SPEED IS NOT TOO LOW YOU IDLE SPEED IS ON THE FACTORY STICKER UNDER THE HOOD.

1995 Subaru Legacy Wagon. Engine dies at low idle.

I understand you have maintained it properly, But often people seem to forget things like the Fuel filter. Another cause is vacuum leaks. If the car has a miss you might try a can of Seafoam through the fuel system. Cleans the system very nicely and improves fuel mileage. Hope this helps to return the Subbie to its dependable abilities. Good luck.

1997 Stratus Won't Start

you probably ran it to low and sucked some trash out of the tank. try changing the fuel filter or put some gas in it because the little fuel you had in it probably evaporated over night.
