I have 2000 chevy blazer and it's stopped blowing hot air. I have back flushed the heater core and the water seems to flow fine but after a day or two it doesn't want to flow back into the heater core


Assuming that you have the proper amount of coolent added, check where your heater hoses connect to the engine block for rust and corrossion, this is a common area to clog up, preventing coolent flow from circulating through your heater core. If ok, check for a thermostat that is stuck open. Sounds to me your "backflushing" has moved a plug of corrossion and rust deeper into the engine, and over a short time, it has moved back up to reclog your heater port.

Dodge shadow poor heat


Possible causes include low coolent level ( I know it sounds wrong, but if the coolent level is low hot coolent won't circulate to the heater core)

The thermostat may be stuck open, if it is the engine won't reach proper operating temp. Only solution is to replace, but it is easy to do and thermostats are inexpensive.

Heater core may be plugged, this is more likely if stopleak has ever been used to stop a radiator leak. Solution would be backflushing the heater core.

The valve that controls the flow of coolent to the heater core could be stuck or defective or the vacuum switch that controls the valve might be defective.

When the heat is on it blows steam, fogging up my windows and windsheild. Is this the heater core?


yes, the heater core is leaking coolent and when the heat is turned on , the evaporated coolent is what is steaming your windshield.
Replace the heater core to solve this problem.

WHY IS MY HEATER IS NOT PUTTING OUT HOT AIR


Your collant level is insufficient ( too low a level ) to deliver hot coolent to the heater core....
Check coolent level in overflow bottle... it should read full....
OR
Your thermostat is frozen open not allowing the coolent to sufficiently heat up ...
