Lights don't work. headlights have never worked since I have had it. Regular lights have always worked but sometimes have to wiggle to get it to work. Lately won't work at all. Switched 2 relays out already and a new battery.

Thank you for answering so quickly. All lights work except regular headlights and high beams.

did not change headlight switch. since it seemed to be a short and was told by mechanic that would need expensive electrical diagnosis, didn't think it could be an easy fix.

Dash and radio lights don't work at night. They are on during the day. 2003 Chev Impala. Have checked all the fuses.

The same thing happens on my 2003 Impala. I found that my dimmer switch has an intermittent failure where sometimes the dash lights go out even with the headlights on.
If I wiggle the dimmer just right, the dash, radio, steering wheel, door locks, and every other light comes on (when the headlights are on). My fix was to mount my Garmin on the steering column in front of the speedometer so when the lights go out I know how fast I'm going. A replacement dimmer (or bypassing the current one and adding a resistor) should take care of it.

Low beam headlights sometime will not go on, or go off after using highbeams.

low beam not working could be relay or bad contact at stork control. Fog lights should only work with park lights on. not supposed to be on with headlights like in the movies. This is illeagle in australia to have head lighs and fog lights on together as well as being dangerous to other motorists

Mx5 headlights not working

perhaps its the wiring leading to the lamp itself. I don't know about your car, but when i fixed mine, there are 3 lines leading to the headlights. perhaps the one leading to the regular light is probably cut or burnt. Try to have it checked with a car electrician if you're not comfortable fiddling with you car's wiring!

My Stop lamps do not shine sometimes then sometimes they will work. Is there a shortage in the wiring?

Check the headlight dimmer switch. 95 Luminas have a bad problem with this. Rest of the lights work but not brakes. Try holding brakes and wiggling signal light switch & see if brake light works, if so you need to have switch replaced

Left headlight works sometimes right side ok. everything is connected good

Take a look at the fuse box, there is a seperate fuse for left and right, once you have located the headlight fuses, turn the lights on and watch them as you wiggle the fuses in there sockets if there is no change then it could be the switch. they have common problem also.
wiggle the switch around, on and off, high beam and low. if the lights start working or stop working, then it is the switch.
if it is the switch, It is a little tricky, but I have had sucsess with taking them apart and cleaning the contacts with some fine sandpaper.
Hope this hlps
let us know if it does.
