If the red light looks like a radiator then the coolant is low, temperature sensor is defective, or the system is overheating. It is red so that means STOP so it is going to be something serious like oil pressure, or temperature. Is it just a round red light?

Remove rack pinion

if your going to replace the rack and pinion make sure you pull the screw completely out of the rack. there actually is a place on the round splines made to receive the screw. you should see a place rounded out for the screw to go through. if you still have problems with getting it out you can try to use two flat screw drivers to pry up on the rack where it goes down on the splines. make sure that you have your wheels straight when you put the new rack back in so that the rack will turn the wheels properly to the right and to the left the same amount of turns each way. keep your steering wheel straight so that it is in the right way that your able to see your speedometer and dash lights or gauges. make sure that your steering wheel is straight across horizontal. let me know if this helps you. god bless

How to turn off your hazard lights

most vehicles have the switch on the steering column, on top just behind the steering wheel. Others have the switch in the center of the dash above radio/temp controls. It has a red triangle symbol on it.

The warning light on the dash that indicates a headlight, running light, or brake light is out comes on and all of the bulbs are ok. Is there a relay that could be bad?

There is a bulb failure relay under the dash that sometimes fails. It is a red round cylinder shaped relay that should be just behind the steering wheel.

Brakes all 4 lock up steering wheel shakes above

OK, when the ABS module is unplugged, the same results. That tells me that the ABS system is not working properly.
Did they look into the master cylinder and other abs related components?
Any ABS codes on it?

If steering wheel shakes above 50 mph that's likely to be the tires on it, rather than a brake problem.

Have tires balanced and rotated and inspected for out of roundness that might cause vibration above 50 mph.

My signal lights no longler flash in my 94 corsica. when i turn them on they just stay on and don't flash. no lights are burnt out, and my hazard lights still work and flash. is this all on the same...

you can find it easily I just did mine take off the kick panel on your drivers side under the steering column and right above the brake pedal and gas pedal get a hand held mirror and look you will see a gray box right above the computer connector you will see a pink chime box a flasher for hazards and a relay a white box my turn signal flasher was behind this gray box I pulled on a wire and the flasher is attached to these wires with a black connector use a flathead screw driver to pry it up off and put in the new.

Can't find the turn signal or emergency flasher fuse for 1998

Conrad, up north.
My protege is a '99. The turn signals and hazard flashers use the same flasher unit. It is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and above and a bit to the right right of the driver's side fuse box.

Tail lights

Those are the REAR Fog lights. You should have a switch on the left side of the steering wheel on the dash. I think it lights up green when it's on. Flip the switch then the back top lights should be on.

These lights, are just for better visibility in low visibility conditions.

Blinker/light stem fallen out of steering column

CENTER the steering wheel/wheels straight ahead. Remove the air bag using the proper Torx driver. Unplug the wiring connector. Using the proper socket, undo the big nut that holds the steering wheel on. Now, bang the steering wheel left/right/left/right hands until the steering wheel comes loose. Now, here is where it gets a little tricky. There is a round black circle with a yellow tag with red letters. Put tape on it to keep it from rotating right or left. Remove the 4 screws. DO NOT TURN THE ROUND THING. If you turn it, you may damage it. Now, remove the screws that hold on the headlamp switch. Unplug the connector & bolt in the new switch. Easy, as long as you do NOT move the setting on the round thing. This is the air-bag "clockspring".
