I bought a used 1995 for escort. it has a miss an is getting worse. i changed the spark plugs. i took the spark plug wires off one at a time. 3 of them made the miss worse and 1 did nothing. it's

Not without more testing.
It could be a fuel problem or something mechanical like a valve.
You would do a compression test next to verify all 4 cylinders have normal compression.
If they do, and that 4th plug wire was providing spark to the plug, I would expect you to find something going on with the injector.

Trying to figure out what the name of a part is

That would be the ignition coil, the part that creates spark at the spark plug. If you follow the electrical path from the coil wire to the distributor cap, and from there, the spinning rotor just under the distributor cap carries the path from the coil wire at the cap's center to the spark plug wires around the dist. cap, and through the plug wire to the spark plug.
The high voltage causing the spark is created in the ignition coil by the engine computer at the precise right moment signaling an ignition module to cut 12 volts current to the ignition coil. This causes the coil to internally build up high voltage which is passed through the coil to distributor cap wire. The computer knows the precise right moment to initiate spark from engine sensors, primarily the crank position sensor and the cam position sensor.

Spark plug pops off

replace them make sure you get ones that are the right length, replace the spark plugs too for good measure, and when you but the spark plugs on make sure that you only push the wire on when theyre properly seated (so the male plug dosent push out or fold over the female receiver in the plug)

Ohms resistance of spark plug wires

Watch the readings. The readings may jump around at first but should stabilize after a few moments. A shorter wire with a length of 12 inches may test out between 6.00 to 7.00 ohms and a longer wire of 30 inches may measure out between 9.00 and 11.00. A 24-inch wire may come in between 7.50 and 9.00 ohms. All of the above readings would put you in a normal range. Any reading of less than 6.00, regardless of the length, would represent low resistance, and that wire should be replaced.

2002 chevy trailblazer check engine light went on, took it to autozone they said it was a misfire in cylinder number 3, and that I needed to replace sparkplugs and wires. could this be the problem?"

Yes it could but without further diagnosis it's difficult to be sure. Manufacturers suggest platunum spark plugs be replaced after 100,000 miles. If your close to this it would be a good idea to change them anyway. While spark plug wires can fail they don't normally wear out like spark plugs. They can very easily be checked with an ohm meter. I wouldn't replace them unless I found a problem with one or more of them.

My 98 Century was running fine without any known problems. I decided to have the spark plugs, Air and Fuel filter replaced. Had originally intended to also replace spark plug wires, but had to leave that...

See the attached video for instructions on how to test the wires and coils. If that isn't the problem then it is likely the ignition module, or the crank or cam position sensor.

Why is my ignition coil sparking when I try and start my 1986 suburban

Sounds like too high of resistance, so the spark takes the easiest path.

Pull coil wire and inspect both ends for corrosion. If you find any, replace both parts, (wire, and coil or cap). Inspect rotor for corrosion. Completely clean the coil tower and this situation should stop.

You may need to install new plug wires, and the entire secondary spark is suspect, and without a scope, you cannot measure it...Get Good, stock parts, higher spark coils, etc, usually can produce LESS total voltage, when I measure them...

Changed my spark plugs now its clicking

The dielectric grease simply makes the plug wire slide on the spark plug more smoothly (creating a better connection) and helps remove it later without destroying it. Wires should snap down and you may be hearing the arcing coming from one of the wires. If 'ticking' is the sound try looking at the wires closely while running in the dark. You may visually see the spark and you answer. Spark plugs are usually hand torqued but a torque wrench is never a bad idea.

If still no luck then I would suggest switching out plugs & / or wires with you old set to see if the problem disappears.
