Take shroud off the steering column and find the 12v supply when the ignition is turned on then this operates a relay thats taking power direct from the battery ,put a inline fuse in this supply like one from a power amplifier for the boom bass speakers that a lot of people fit and away you go ,nice warm seats in the winter

Add 12 volt outlet switched by ignition

Look in your owners manual for the accessory fuse. That line turns off. Also, consider a 12 volt relay between the seat and your power source. A small toggle switch will work well for a relay.

The heated seat on the driver's side of my 2005 Uplander stopped working. It is not the fuse, and the switch shows the one or two lights showing power level. The Passenger heated seat works OK. Any...

If the fuse #13 has not blown, it could be the element has an open. If you have a power meter or 12 volt test light, I would check and see if you have 12 volts to the seat connector. If you do, then the seat element may be damaged.

Hope this helps.

2005 hyundai tucson v6 passenger side heated seat will not warm up the light comes on. driver side is ok could it be the switch even if the light comes on

Possibly.... the only way I know to diagnosis this issue is with an amp meter in the circuit that heats the seats. Compare LH & RH seat heating current draw. If you find the pass seat is NOT drawing the same amount of current, further troublshooting is required. There are TWO heating elements installed in the seats -- seat bottom & seat back, and they are connected in 'SERIES'... so if either element goes/is 'OPEN', then it's component replacement time. There is a thermostat in the heating elements -- it regulates the seat temperature. One must isolate the two elements & check each one individually (seat bottom - checking resistance... and seat back - checking resistance). whichever one (or possibly both) are 'OPEN'. If you find resistance is normal (3 to 5 ohms), then the problem/cause may be in the switch (or its contacts). Using a test light (12 volt bulb), check for power (battery voltage) at the heating element connector to ground (chassis). If the bulb lights up, you know you have power at the switch and is sending it to the heating elements.

2001 Pontiac Montana Rear heat blows only cold air???

The rear temp blend door is stuck in the cold position ,very common problem on vehicles with rear HVAC units . There is no valve , electric actuator !
Air Temperature Actuator
The air temperature actuator is a 3 wire bi-directional electric motor. Ignition 3 voltage, ground and control circuits enable the actuator to operate. The control circuit uses a 0-12 volt linear-ramped signal to command the actuator movement. The 0 and 12 volt control values represent the opposite limits of the actuator range of motion. The values in between 0-12 volts correspond to the positions between the limits.
When the HVAC control module sets a commanded, or targeted, value, the control signal is set to a value between 0-12 volts. The actuator shaft rotates until the commanded position is reached. The module will maintain the control value until a new commanded value is needed.
