Question about 2002 Ford Mustang
These set up use a garter spring inside the fitting. This takes a special tool that most auto parts stores carry for around $5-$10. You simply 1. push the line forward 2. insert the tool till it is about flush 3. pull firmly outward. Now be very careful if this is your first time replacing a fuel filter. Fuel will spray so what I do, is to keep a rag drapped over the line to reduce spray. I pull firmly but not all the way out, allow to drain for a moment, and remove. If you have spot on the driveway from oil, mix some cat litter with it, scrub with an old broom, allow to dry and it will pick up the oil and clean the spot.
