The lower intake manifold can be leaking antifreeze, The injectors are reconmended to be removed but they can stay in if nessary the lower intake manifold has 8 bolts and the studs that hold the injectors in have to be removed as they hold the upper phelm on too. To gain clearance to do this job the engine has to be raqised and the motor mounts removed and the then the engine lowered with the mounts removed. the engine will now be low enought to get to the rear bolts. The service maniul says to remove the subframe bolts and lower it all but the steering collum has to be disconnected or the rack released from the subframe and this is an area for damage. I lower the motor with the mounts loose. Break lines and ABS conponants are in the repair list if you let the subframe down too far.

If only trying to remove the injectors the nut holding the wire harness on needs removed and the stud under it needs the be removed too and just to the rear of the stud is a bolt doing the same thing. After their removed then the injectors and their fuel pphelm can be removed the upper phelm does'nt have to be removed. You may have to spray Blaster ( a frozen bolt spary WD-40 ) around the injectors and the clips holding the injectors to the fuel rail (phelm) the rail may come off the injectors and some of the injectors may stay stuck in the lower intake manifold. they can be pulled out after the others are out of the way. Don't reuse any O rings as they have been hot many times and they may look good but they'll leak. Change them all.

it could be a wiring problem in the circuit or the injectors have a resistance problem or maybe even the injector drivers in the computer have a problem or are bad.

could be a fault in the #3 injector wiring, with the engine running back probe the wiring at the injector with a led trouble light it should glow at each pulse. a pulse can be felt by holding the injector if you have no light. compare with # I&2.

The plenum shouldn't be damp with gas. Is it a throttle body fuel injection system?

Could be a leaky injector.

Gas is leaking from my fuel rail (phlegm) on my number 5 fuel injector on my 1994 camaro

  • Park the Camaro on a flat, level surface and set the parking brake. Open the hood and secure it in place with the hood prop. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  • Open the gas tank to relieve pressure on the fuel lines.
  • Remove the sight shield from the fuel injector with a socket wrench. Loosen the screws on the hose clamps and disconnect the fuel lines connected to the injectors. Keep a rag handy to catch any fuel that leaks.
  • Disconnect the vacuum hose and ignition coil wire, then unplug the electrical connectors. Remove the fuel injector mounting bolts, undo the retaining clips and remove the fuel injectors.
  • Put a thin coat of engine oil on the new fuel injector's O-ring. Place the O-ring in position, install the new fuel injectors and secure the retaining clips. Install the mounting bolts with a torque wrench set at seven pounds.
  • Plug the electrical connectors back into the fuel injectors. Reconnect the vacuum hose and ignition coil wire. Connect the fuel lines and tighten the hose clamps with a screwdriver to secure them in place. Bolt the sight shield in place with a socket wrench.
  • Place the gas cap back on. Reconnect the negative battery cable

How do i remove the fuel injectors on a 1994 camaro 3.4 v6 im trying to replace the intake manifold gasket and cant get the injectors out of the fuel rail

You can generally remove all injectors with the fuel rail as a unit. Just unplug them from the wiring harness and pull up the fuel rail. The injectors are just pushed in with o-rings.

are you sure that the fuel injectors were clean when you replaced the o-ring or maybe there is still a piece of o-ring left inside the fuel injector port if this still does not work then replace o-ring with two rings a smaller o-ring and a larger one
