You may have fried the fuseable link that comes off of the positive battery terminal. Disconnect it from the post as well as the negative cable from the battery. Check the continuity along the length of the cable anywhere thrre is no continuity the link has blow, replace it or the entire cable.

I put my battery in backwards an snow it won't

That wire was probably a fuseable link which is designed to melt inside like a regular fuse.
Do you have voltage on both ends ? And are the other fuses getting power ?

1999 Crown turned ignition switch to start - heard pop - no electrical power

If nothing works including the lights, something happened between the battery and the fuse box.
There are some fuseable links between the battery and the starter solenoid or between the solenoid and the fuse box.
I'd start with the battery cables and look for those fuseable link wires.

You still safe there is three area that are protected when this happens , the fuseable link opens up, in the fuse box the ignition fuse, in the batter juntion box a fusable link or omega fuse, and starter fuse, 1990 suburban look at the starter for the omega or fuseable link

Fuseable link. ? hooked up battery backwards

fuseable links are pieces of different color wire inserted into the
wiring harness.these are either placed next to the battery or, next to the starter
to prevent a fire if the correct fuses are defeated or, a short occurs in a fusebox.
Since you hooked up your battery backwards your alternator may also be damaged.
