The first thing is to make sure all wiring connections are good, check all ground connection, double check connection, depending on how long the injector sat they may have locked up or you have wires going to wrong place, the most important thing is ground wires make sure all wires are connectted.

How to replace the tps on a 1991 tracker? the one i bought has 4 wires the one on the tracker has 6 wires

the 1991 G16a has a pig tail connector, must have 4 wires.
and shares the Injector connector (tricky pin pulls, and all)
that connector you gander is the injector /TPS connector
it has 6 pins but only 4 are for TPS. (yellow /.red are injector)
see page 3 below, for what all this means. last link below.

try to keep in mind, your car has a VIN engine code U (not 6) code 6 , has no pig tail, TPS.
GM uses U code to say, engine is 8valves, TBI, G16a , my guess, (no photos) is your bought TPS is
with tails, and is correct for your 8v engine.

Install, (need feeler gauges to do it)
it's not just thrown on to the car, it must be calibrated.
or the idle switch WILL fail.(and more)
one maker of this TPS is here: (hard to find)
SMP makes one. sMP #TH-147 is for 8V tbi.

http://www.fixkick.com/buy-parts.html#TPS
do not use 16valve parts on your car.

here is the calibration steps.
http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/tests/TPS-testing.html#8v_FSM_cal

the factory page is here
http://www.fixkick.com/TPS/TPS-p91.JPG

http://www.fixkick.com/TPS/TPS-p92.jpg

and page 3 here
http://www.fixkick.com/TPS/TPS-p93.JPG

the last page shows the tricky pin pulls....

you must pull the old pins.' one by one.
then put in then new TPS pins , in the same places of old
matching COLORS.
then do the calibration steps above, using feeler gauges.
same basic steps, from 1989 to 1998.
in 1999 they calibrate it to 0.5vdc, only.
later years, it auto-calibrates.
if the new TPS fails to cure the problem
post the symptoms, and win.

Hyundai Sante Fe sputters and will not excelerate pass 40 to 45 miles for about a minute. Then will pick up speed. This occurs about every 6 or 7 weeks. Seems to happen after I stop. I have a 3.5 engine...

Here is the definition for the code.
You may need the dealer or a shop to check it out.

P1614 HYUNDAI Description There is a communication line between Powertrain Control Module (PCM) and Electronic Throttle System (ETS) unit. Using this communication line, various data, such as throttle target angle, TPS output, APS output and diagnostic trouble codes regarding ETS motor, TPS and APS are communicated between PCM and ETS unit. A malfunction is detected by using a checksum technique for verifying data. The digital data is composed of zeros and ones. A checksum is the total of all ones in a string of data. By comparing the checksum value with a stored value, a malfunction can be detected. Possible solution- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) harness is open or shorted
- Faulty Electronic Throttle System (ETS) unit
- Faulty Powertrain Control Module (PCM)

Ets off light and check engine light came on

ETS systems get their information from the wheel speed sensors. If the engine light and ETS lights are on, there are trouble code stored in the computer. Get those read. That's always the starting point.

What is wrong if the car has trouble starting in the morning but works the rest of the time?

If the check engine light is not on and you have no DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes) then it could be any number of things. If the car is fuel injected, you can check to see if the "cold start" injector is not functioning or clogged. This is a separate injector that is somewhere in the intake tract, upstream of the regular fuel injectors. Its function is to squirt a little extra fuel into the intake to get the car started when cold. Try to get your car to an auto parts store and have any stored DTC's read out. They'll usually do that for free. Even if the check engine light is not on, you can have "pending codes" that will not set (turn on the check engine light) until the problem recurs a certain multiple of times.

What does the ETS off light on the dash mean

Hello there
let me try to explain it the best way i can

If you are talking about the light coming on when you are driving in slippery conditions, this is normal. If you are talking about it staying on all the time, the ets is either turned off or you have another problem. Let?s take a moment and explain why the electronic traction control which is called Enhanced Traction System (ETS) warning light will turn on when the engine computer sees a problem. The ETS system monitors wheel speed via the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS). If the ETS system sees a wheel spinning due to snow, ice, rain etc., the ETS computer sends a request to the vehicle?s engine computer to reduce torque. The engine computer responds with a combination of strategies. In the engine computer?s bag of tricks to stop wheel spin it can perform any one or combination of the following; cut fuel off by trimming or turning off fuel injectors, ****** the spark timing or up shift the transmission. In the days of old we just let up on the gas pedal. Now the computer does it for you. If you have an engine running problem it is more of a problem than you realize. The engine computer is the high command center. The engine computer will work and respond to information from the other computers in the vehicle. But in the event there is a system or running problem that the engine computer is responsible for, ?it will? lock out all of the other vehicle computers. If there is an engine running problem that causes the engine computer to store a code and turn on the ?Check Engine? light guess what computer doesn't talk to the others? The engine computer. The ETS computer gets all put out when this occurs and turns its warning light on in protest. So, there you have it. If the check engine light is on the ETS warning light will come on as well and the ETS system will not operate until the engine computer problem is corrected.
