Can't remove lens cover on rear to access burned out bulb. Screws are out but don't want to crack the cover.

it may be possible that you don't have to remove the lens cover to replace the bulb, in most modern vehicles the bulbs come out from inside the trunk by turning the fitting & pulling the bulb out & replace it the same way by putting it back in & turning it in the opposite direction to lock it in place.......hope this helps......cheers.

My turn signal and brake lights both went

More then likely you have a bulb that has a burned out filimant or a bad connection If this is just one side then i would say deffenatly Try replaceing the bulbs there cheap .Get something called dielectric greese it comes in a little tube and will stop correastion on the contects , The front lens cover is no problem to remove on this vehicle the rear is a little tricky you need to remove the clip from the endgate that holds the pistion for the rear window to get it out of the way to remove the one of the screws that holds the rear lens cover . Clean up the sockets and bulbs and look at the filimants inside the bulbs try rotateing them see if it works . Its not likely the muiltyfunction switch or the brake switches . Check it out good luck

How do you change rear brake light bulb in a Ford Focus

You will need to look in trunk and pull back the covering over the light area on the side you need to replace. Once exposed, look for the wires going into the light housing and twist the plug to unlock it and remove the bulb. Twist and remove the old bulb or Pull the bulb out of the socket. Reverse the process to install the new bulb and replace the socket.

Replace rear window brake light bulb

I just had to do this, and it isn't all that easy or quick. First, gently work the gray, carpet like cover loose from the area around the tail light ,(this may give you a little trouble). Once you have done this, you will see three silver nuts. These must be unscrewed. The lower left nut must be accessed through a hole next to where the trunk lid fits. (The screws are permanently attached to the lens housing so will not drop into obscurity when the nuts are removed). After removing the nuts, GENTLY work the lens housing away from the car. You may need a screw driver to unseat the housing, but just be gentle.

You will find three bulbs inside the lens. The brake light bulb is on the lower right side. Simply pull the old bulb out and insert the new one.

Just reverse these directions to reassemble the housing.

There is a plastic cover on the lens that covers the screws that hold the lamp on to the body. CAREFULLY pry the cover off to access screws, remove the screws and CAREFULLY pry the lens off. Replace bulb(s) reinstall after checking to see if bulbs are in fact working.
