Question about 1986 Mazda 323

I have a 1987 mazda bfmr and my clutch is sticking to the floor and i cant change gears,im not sure what the problem is if anybody could help????

You might have a broken clutch cable.

    thanks hay one moe question would any body be able to give me a walktrough on how to take my turbo kit off my 87 bfmr as it is blown and i have a vf10 turbo to put on and cant afford to pay for the labour????thanks

Clutch go's all the way to floor with no resistents can not shift gears engine won't stay on. 1987 5 speed pickup truck


Sounds like the hydraulic fluid may have leaked out of a line or the slave cylinder is leaking, or the master clutch cylinder has an internal leak that doesn't actuate the clutch effectively when the pedal is pushed to the floor.

Cant change gears


im having the same probem. does the clutch pedal go to the floor easily. if so its the hydraulic clutch line. but i still havent found anything on how to fix it

Changing the clutch in an 87 toyo p/u


  • drive shaft - 4
  • wiith carrier br g-6
  • crossmember2-4 removal from trans
  • clutch slave cylinder -2
  • trans to bell housing -4
  • Shifter- floor screws -4
  • shift stick - Under boot press down and rotate stick retainer cup
  • Safety, ease of removal and damage prevention to engine components: SUPPORT REAR OF ENGINE.
  • clutch pressure plat -6
  • clutch pilot bushing - bronze- split w/small chisel- must replace- tap new bushinG into clean hole - lube with light amout of grease
  • Clutch release brg. replace and properly situate on fork and retainers
  • Note! check clutch disc for proper spline match with trans input shaft.
  • Note, Use clutch pilot tool (Parts store available) to center clutch disc while tightening pressure plate.
  • Check trans fluid level after assemby is complete. Good luck.FORCE NOTHING

Clutch pedal suddenly goes to the floor, no longer [dis]engaging the clutch


I found that having a wood stick on the clutch pedal down to the floor all night (the other end of the stick held by the seat. oh yeah !!! ) would help to ease shifting for the first hour the next morning, then it would come back stiff and hard to engage in gear.
