Look at the dome light hit the switch down and watch the light does it dim? It should if it worked to go down now watch the light again to the up position does the light still dim if not you have a bad switch or ground wire in the harness usually its the switch if the light does not dim.

How to locate fuse for 2001 ford taurus drivers side power window

There isn't one. It has a circuit breaker. And the breaker supplies power to all the windows. So if the other windows work, you have a bad motor or regulator or switch.

I have a 2001 Taurus, the power windows do not work right now yet they were working fine yesterday. None of the 4 switches work up or down. On the driver door switch I can hear a clicking under the dash.

you need to pulll the switch out make sure the wires connected to it and test it with voltmeter make sure it is sending and recieving power sounds like the switch went out on you test it before replacing it also check fuses

2001 Taurus driver side door window powered down and will not raise back to close

your regulator has gone bad, you will need to take the door panel off and see if you can raise it back up. You will need to replace the regulator.

My '02 Ford Taurus SES windows won't roll down

Power windows are wired through their own relay which is usually located in the fuse box. If you don't have faulty switches in your window system I would have the relay checked out.

If you cannot operate any of the power windows and you lost power on all at the one time it is most unlikely that the motors are faulty.

I own a 2000 ford taurus. The drivers side window will not go up or down. I checked the plug at the motor, and I have 12vdc when pushing on the auto switch for the up position. When I push the switch to...

You say that you have 12 vdc when pushing the switch to up but no voltage in the down position. Switch your voltmeter leads + and - at the motor when you push your down switch and see if you have 12 vdc then. If so then you have a bad window motor. Your up and down button switchs the polarity to the motor to go up or down.

Ford Taurus Window won't go up

If you are hearing the clicking from the power window relay the only things left would be a break in a wire or a failed window lift motor. If this window only goes down but not up I would inspect the wiring at the door jamb for a damaged wire. If this fails to go either way I would remove the panel, insert test light into the lift motor leads (X2)and actuate the switch, if I get power then I would replace the lift motor. If you get no power in one direction - test switch.
