I know on older car if you take carb cleaner and spray around vaccum lines and if there is a leave the idle will go up. Will that also work on this problem ?

When you open the hood of the the car have a buddy accelerate in park and listen for a vacuum leak this is the likely cause it sounds lik your loosing boos pressure. Also, get a tune up there maybe a list of problems. Hopefully it's not your transmission!

Car dies at stop

Most likely an intermittent MAF (mass air flow) sensor, or possibly a bad turbo (wastegate) pod.

1993 Mustang 2.3L Trouhble(again); It's slugish at accelerating from a stop(some times falling on its face and dieing), jerks at highspeeds when trying to accelerate, and has hard starts. Any help

All the above problems were happening to my truck, and the engine light never did come on. Finally changed the O2 sensor, and it runs like new again.

the turbo has no effect on blower motor performance. you may have a bad turbo but you may also have a bad blower motor or a low freon level on the a/c system.

Car will not accelerate from a stop once it gets going it is fine. In other word it falls on its face when I try to take off from a stop.

Does it only happen when it's coming from a stop, or is it when you accelerate in general? If its only when you start, it could indicate a problem in your transmission. If it happens while accelerating in general, It's most likely a bad spark plug, which is an extremely easy fix.

2003 Jetta TDI.. accelerating on Hwy, i feel like the turbo stops working and the vehicle accelerates only on naturally asperated power. engine light comes on. I can turn off the car and restart it, and...

I have the same car/year and problem. My turbo first acted up 50,000 km ago. I was told it was the waste gate linkage that was sticking. The Mechanic lubed it and work it back and worth with a air pressure device. Worked well for 40,000 km's but goes into limp mode almost every day.

I am told it could be waste gate actuator, air flow sensor, a vacuum leak, or one other thing. If you just bought this car it probably had the problem for a while and that's why the person who had it before dumped the car.

Worse case is the turbo with waste gate assembly attached come as one pice will have to be replaced for $1,500.00

Struggling to Accelerate immediately after starting engine

Most likely there is a hole in the air tube. Open the hood and check the rubber tube on top of the engine. If there is a rip, just cover it with some heavy duty tape and it will help on a tempory basis.

Push the accelerator, nothing happens or falls on face and dies

you might have a vacuum leak just get a can of carb cleaner the spray kind not the foam stuff and spray it around your carb and vacuum lines and see if anything changes.l
