Question about 2005 Volvo S60

1 Answer

I have a S60R. The high beams work when I have the control stalk pulled towards the stearing wheel (in either the first or second position) but they will not stay on if I release the control stalk. Is there a simple fix?

Check your lighting position, bottom left of steering wheel. there should be 3 positions check your high beam in all three positions...it should be in the middle position.

The combination switch is the one that will cause this, not the main light switch.

2005 XJ8- both key fobs lock and unlock features have quit working. have tried new batteries. still do not work. what now?

If the fuses are fine then reprogram the key fob here is what you do...get into the car, make sure the doors are closed, pull the high beam stalk back towards you so that the high beam is on and hold it...then insert the key and turn it to phase two, then flash the highbeam with the stalk three times by pulling it to you,,,you will hear a beep(hold the stalk),and the foblight will flash on the dash, then while still holding the stalk to highbeam, press the remote transponder once then the car will beep once then remove the key and press any button on the fob to make the car respond.

4W HI LIGHT FLASHES BUT WILL NOT ENGAGE

Pulling toward you on the stalk only flashes the high beams (spring returns it to low beam position). To switch to high beams, push the stalk away from you.
