It appears to be right above crankshaft pulley. Your lower radiator hose should go to the pump.

I have a 2005 buick le sabre and the heater sometimes works and sometimes doesn't

Sounds like the heater matrix is blocked hence you have a little heat until you turn the blower on whereby it comes out cold because there's no more. Get someone to check the temp of the heater hoses when running and check for an airlock in the heater. These can be tricky to clear. Make sure the coolant is full at all times.

How do i bypass the heater core on a 97 buick le sabre

Ok to eliminate having heat in your vehicle and/or replacing a damaged heater core unhook both the 5/8" id hoses going to your heater core then remove them and connect a hose between both outlets to loop them. Newer replacment water pumps have interchangeable outlet fittings which can be removed and plugged with a pipe or drain plug if applicable the same as with your water neck fitting. Connecting the 2 together is a much easier fix

200 2.0 jetta cooling system diagram. i have a leak on a metal hose that goes into block left side of engine. how do i fix?

The metal pipe you are talking about is a heater pipe. it carries coolant around the block. i would just buy a new pipe and replace the old one. if you use epoxy or something its probably going to leak. there is a bracket built into the pipe and its screwed to the heater hose flange on the side of the motor. once you remove the two nuts you should be able to take a prybar and pry it from the block. (Its just pushed into the block and sealed with an o-ring)

I have a water leak coming from my engine block. How to repair 2001 Buick 3.8 It is come out of a 5/8 pipe or around it

If it's a hose, best bet is to just replace it, and use new clamps.

If it's leaking where it's connected to the nipple, for a quick fix, you can remove the hose, cut the hose off past the leak, and reattach it.

This requires a little bit of slack in the hose, but if the leak is right at the connection, there should be enough slack in the hose to do this.
