WHAT PROBLEM ARE YOU HAVING WITH IT MOST OF THE TIME IT DOESNT NEED TO BE REBUILT (DELAY GOING INTO REVERSE ) IS THE FIRST SIGN MOST OF THE TIME IT JUST NEEDS A VALVE BODY REPLACED AND YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO PUT THE CAR IN THE AIR CAN BE REPAIRED UNDER THE HOOD

How do I replace just clutch discs?

Pull the transmission. Manual transmission, just pull it and get it out of your way. Get a clutch kit and resurface the flywheel. Automatic transmission, it is a rebuild. either way you need a manual to pull. Then a manual to rebuild the automatic. ATSG.com

How much is does it cost to get the tranny replace on a 1994 saturn

what you do is call around to junkyards and find a used transmission. when you find one, they will tell you how much they want for it. then call around to various shops and get a price for removing your old one and installing the working one. add those two prices together and then you know. if it has an automatic, just forget it as you can't put a used saturn transmission into a car unless you have it rebuilt first. rebuilding and installing a saturn transmission will easily cost four times as much as the car is worth. the car is worth 500 dollars running well and you will spend 2000 dollars to get a rebuilt tranny installed. you would be better off to spend a thousand dollars and just buy a 1999 saturn and sell yours for parts or scrap. get a stick shift, saturn automatics are notoriously bad.

I need a free manual , to rebuild a automatic transmission in a 1990 ford Bronco w/351 engine. and how to remove and and rebuild. doing this myself. Any step by step manuals for this beginner?

Rebuilding automatic transmissions properly requires a lot of time, skill, training and experience to get it right. A beginner will have little success in making a lasting repair. I have known of experienced professionals fail to fix them properly. An exchange transmission would be the best option, although more expensive, as you should get a warranty and will be out of action for only a short time.

How to rebuild a saturn vue transmission

your best bet would be to take it to a shop, rebuilding an automatic transmission is very confusing, and tedious, and could possibly be very expensive if done wrong and manual transmissions require special tools and a press to press in bearings and gears on and off shafts

Cost of replacing transmission saturn le96

Depending on where you get the transmission it will run $800 to $2000 plus installation cost unless you do that yourself. It is usually cheaper to rebuild the transmission than replace it out right unless your converting from Manual to Automatic.

I had a 1991 Dodge Caravan that did the same thing. I had a transmission rebuilt because of the problem you describe. I was told it was a seal inside the transmission that was leaking fluid from an internal chamber when the engine was at an idle (like it is when you are at a stop sign). A redesigned seal fixed my problem. I would bet if you gave it a little gas with one foot and kept your foot on the brake it wouldn't act like it had dropped out of gear. If you have the money for a transmission rebuild that might be something to consider but if you are tight on money, a bottle of lucas transmission additive might help your problem. That seemed to help me so I could get some money together for a transmission rebuild. I realize that most mechanics will say that your transmission doesn't need an additive of any kind, I also realize that sometimes in real life you have to do what your pocketbook/ wallet can afford.

Good luck.
