You may need some plugs and plug wires.

350z 2002. Eng light, TCS and SLIP light comes on no apparent reason. Car running normally.

Take it to a ASE certified repair shop or the dealer ! Because if you knew anything , with the engine light on an TCS ,you would know DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are set . You need to have a factory scan tool hooked up !

I have a 2000 VW beatle showing a trouble code P0322 Speed Sensor. I checked with Ohms meter and received correct reading? Car cuts off when hot.

Speed Sensor has nothing to do with the engine cutting off
PO322 is a Generic Code for a Knock Sensor
You need to Google your codes & read up
An OHM Meter won't do anything for you on a Speed
Sensor, need a scan tool or scope
I would say you have an overheating condition to correct
& the knock sensor plays a role, wouldn't you think!

Car runs very ruff. computer says small emissions leak.I have replaced gas cap, this helped for 1 day. now check engine lite is on again.

Did you erase the code after you repaired the problem ??..Emission leaks are usually not affective
to the engine performance...But a gas cap is for some reason...You actually need an emission
leak tester hooked to it ...Or a DRB III eng. analysis tool....I am chrysler tech.....
But normally emission troubles wont make it run rough unless it is very bad !
It may be your O2 sensor.Doublecheck gas cap security.....make sure old code is cleared before you make any more adjustments....Check engine for any vacum leaks...This could be the problem....Because it shouldnt run good for a day after changing only the gas cap...
Make sure all electrical connections ( PLUGS/WIRES/INJ.CONNECTIONS...etc..) are good...
You may have to take to dealer to clear codes and recheck.....Maybe update PCM
Hope this helps.......................................Level II CHRYSLER ..................Metalpoet

I have a 2.7diesel grand cherokee 2002 i have to disconect the live battery lead and reconect it every morning and it then starts ok for the rest of the day.

Dear,
The problem is from trouble code which is removed temporary when you disconnect the battery so you must scan your Jeep's Modules and find the trouble codes and investigate the problem by reading the trouble codes properly then Erase it using the scan tool.

2003 mitsubishi outlander died at stop light. wont start. turns over and has a full tank of gas. is getting fuel to engine.

very poss it could be crank sensor ,broken wire ? timing belt? advise installing scan tool that reads live data check eng rpm on scan tool see if shows eng rpm while cranking , poss remove upper timing belt cover make sure is turning and not damaged, poss computer related problem or power to eng systems would have to check for power at fuel injs and check for ground pulse with logic probe or led test light if crank sensor ok also check for spark at plugs with special plug tester and check codes first

Subaru Liberty Engine check light has come on, has a EJ20TT from a 94 Legacy. Just wanting to find out how to check engine trouble codes through the diagnostic port, (which wire would i need to plug into...

Your model and year has OBDII. I would not suggest shorting any wires. It will not flash codes. Most Auto parts stores will test it for free. Good luck and have a great day.

Check engine light is on my 1998 ram van 3500

Bring it to a parts store, most will scan for engine trouble codes for free. They will plug a hand held scan tool into the vans diagnostic port (under the dash) and 'read' codes stored in the van's computer. They can tell you what the codes mean, and suggest how to fix it. If you have any further questions at that time, post them here with the code #'s. Good luck. Curt

Missing when warmed up

ok,so theres no warr. on the repair you had done, your p0205 code is a problem with injector on cyl.5,could be inj.itself or elec.circuit, and thats your main problem, you can take a chance change inj.or bring it to a good mech.,who will hook up a special diag.scan tool to cars comp.and take readings while engines running to pin point problem exactly!thats up to you.
