Which nipple on the radiator does the hose from coolant bottle go to?

It goes on the small tube just under the radiator cap on the side of the neck.

Tip

Cheap coolant overflow cap

Contaminated coolant contributes to engine damage by clogging up the radiator, reducing efficiency of the coolant to remove engine heat. an uncapped overflow tank is a route for debris and contaminents to enter your cooling system and if ignored, circulate crud thoughout the system and clog your radiator. So if you have lost your coolant cap,(which is easy to do) dont just say "oh, well" there is a temporary fix that will keep your coolant clean until you can get to an auto parts store and replace your cap with the proper cap. all you will need is a plastic bottle, or container cap and some electric tape, or, yes, even duct tape. eyeball the approximate inside diameter of the radiator overflow tank fill hole. place the bottle cap over the fill hole, but dont let go of the cap. if the cap is smaller than the hole wrap electrical, or duct tape around the cap a few times and replace bottle cap over the fill hole. the cap should fit snug in the fill hole. make sure you dont press cap into the fill hole too deep that you cant pull it out with your fingers. if you do you can pull it out with needle nose pliers. this will keep your coolant clean until you can get to an auto parts store and replace the cap with a proper cap.

Need to add coolant, where is radiator cap?

No idea

No vehicle to refer to

If your adding --your best find & repair
the leak in the coolant system

You add to the system through the coolant fill cap, if you
have no radiator cap

If you follow the top radiator hose, you will see it

The big white container is a coolant tank, degas bottle,or over flow tank

That also has to have coolant & is checked when cold

Low coolant

Regular Prestone or Peak Anti-Freeze. You should always pour it in the coolant tank, as the radiator needs coolant, it is drawn in from the coolant tank to the radiator, and also the reverse, so you only want to fill it up to the "FULL" level on the bottle. Recheck it after it's been driven.

Overheating in Diahatsu Charade 92. EFI 16 Valve.

Did you burp the coolant? If not, you have air bubbles in the system that are trapped behind the thermostat, keeping it from opening. Run the car at idle until it's 3/4 of the way to overheating, then shut it down and let it cool. Pop the radiator cap and the air bubbles will burp out. Check the level of coolant in the radiator and expansion tank, top off as needed, and repeat a couple times, and you should be good to go.

Antifreeze is leaking out of rariator cap

Run engine from cool with cap off, heater (not defrost) on and top up coolant about an inch or 2 from top of rad, and watch as engine gets up to normal operating temperature. When it reaches thermostat temp approx.195 F the flow in rad should increase, then rad fan should eventually come on, and run shortly then shut off. Let this happen 3-4 times, and add coolant as needed. Then put rad cap back on & top up bottle to proper level. Try it and see what happens, and let us know.

Volvo 1994 Radiator

hi my name is paul
these days most cars have a expansion tank under the bonnet or hood
this is were you fill it up with water it looks like a plastic bowl with a screw lid
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES UNDO CAP WHEN ENGINE IS RUNNING OR IS STILL HOT *** DANGER OF SCALDING DO NOT OVERFILL CHECK OUT MAX LEVEL
car manufacturers use expansion tanks because as the water in your engine warms up it expands under high pressure and fills up the expansion tank with excess water when the engine cools down the water cools and it shrinks and goes back into the cooling system hope this information has been usefull
regard paul
