Firstly, they are al P type codes, which refers to PCM.

P0139 - HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 2. This is is the sensor in front of the catalytic converter.

P0603 - Internal Control Module Keep Alive Memory error. This error normally comes up when the battery is disconnected.

P1139 - HO2S (Heated Oxygen Sensor) Insufficent Switching Bank 1 Sensor 2. (see above)

P1599 - Engine Stall or Near Stall Detected.

I hope this helps.....I would attempt erasing the codes first and see if they come back, and then going from there.

So I have a problem with my car starting up sometimes, it hesitates and sounds like it trying to start then it stalls out then i crank it again and it will usually start with a lil smoke coming from the exhaust... none of these codes seem to be that specific problem, and where is the catalytic converter located???

Just so we can narrow it down, have you disconnnected the battery before to try and erase the codes ???

Yes I disconnected and drove it till the service light came back on. Then I went and had the codes read. Im trying to figure out what could be at fault for the car starting like that and now also wondering if i need a new catalytic converter and if that could be at fault.

I hope I get a good rating from this...lol.......well the catalytic converter is in the exasut and normally betwwen the exhasut manifold and the mufler but it is more towards the front of the car...it is oval in shape, amnd inside has a honeycomb centre......this is the membranes that break down carbon monoxide into water and oxygen.......well, thats the way tis supposed to work

PO-139 I had that sensor change 3 weeks ago and the check engine light came on again this morning. Thanks

Probably replaced a good sensor. This codes could be from a bad sensor, a vacuum leak, or an exhaust leak before the sensor.

Check engine light on, 1997 cadillac Deville.PCM codes

PO135 is oxygen sensor Bank1 sensor1. PO404 is EGR.
personally, I'd pull EGR off, clean pintle good with throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner, re-install, erase codes & try it for a while & see if it code(s) come back.

Overheating,eveything looks ok.

I have a 97 Cadillac Deville with a northstar engine and have replaced it twice so far, so i answer this by experience...i've noticed to my two prior engines that went bad that the normal temp should NOT EXCEED 228 (normal), the red overheating light will come on at 250 and at 260 it will beep and tell you to stop engine - idle engine and will begin to smoke (overheat).

I hope this helps you and anyone else...by the way if your asking why did i replace my engine twice is simply because my cadillac is super clean inside and out, immaculate condition.

Error Codes

These may have been set by the battery change and are what GM calls phamtom codes, clear the codes with the following.
Try this and see if the codes go away.

1. Re-enter diagnostics via the climate control panel and after all the codes appear you will see .7.0

2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI (^) buttons on the climate control panel until you see E.0.0 and release both buttons.

3. Turn ignition key OFF, Wait 15 seconds and re-enter diagnostics and see if the codes reappear. If they do NOT reappear, You are good to go.
After you have done this try starting the engine and see what codes re-appear, also run and OBD 2 test of the system at the diagnostic connector, this will give P codes that we are better able to find definitions for, the E codes are unique to just a few GM cars.
