Question about 1989 Toyota Camry
There are several electrical problems on my camry that I assume stem from the same problem. My taillights dont work, the lights in the dashboard do not work, and the lights in the ceiling don't work. I have checked the fuses and they all should work. I assume that because I have several wires sticking out from where the radio in my car used to be, that the problem is probably due to that but I have no idea what to do about them. At the same time, i thought those wires dealt with the radio only, not all the lights, but maybe I am wrong. Can anybody help me?
Ok there is always a parking light wire or tail light wire whatever you wnat to call it thean goes tto the radio make sure that wire
is not touching others or contacting any ground or metal

First, check all bulbs to make sure they work,if not replace them, replace dash lights by removing the dashboard, them twist bulbs to the lefttomake sure their locked in if so they need to be replaced. turn to the right, remove, replace, then on to thebreak light switch. make sure switch is touching break pedal,if not move or adjust it untill it does.it should be fully depressed when break pedal is at rest, and fully open when pedal is pressed.next check the pull switch in the dash to make sure it is not broken,if so replace. all bare wiring should be retaped after tracing it back to the fuse box to insure no wires are burned out or fused together,if so pull them apart, and replace them prior to pulling switchn on or before battery is reconnected, disconnect the red positive cable only to begin the repairs I put this last to make sure this is the first thing you do before attempting the repairs on the electrical system!
