It is located under the passenger seat, along with the lug wrench, in a black metal bracket.

Cannot remove spare tire from undercarriage

Hello, this vehicle has a locking device to keep the spare tire from falling down. you will have to perform these steps to remove spare tire.

  • Turn the folding wrench clockwise to raise the jack until it lifts the secondary latch device under the wheel plate.
  • Keep raising the jack until the compact spare tire stops moving upward and is held firmly in place. This lets you know that the secondary latch has released.
  • Lower the jack by turning the folding wrench counterclockwise. Keep lowering the jack until the compact spare tire is resting on the folding wrench

I dont know how to change the drivers side transmission mount on my 99 alero what would be the best way

YOU NEED TO SUPPORT ENGINE TO REMOVE TRANSAXLE BRACE.YOU CAN USE FLOOR JACK WITH A PIECE OF WOOD ON JACK SADDLE.YOU NEED TO REMOVE WHEEL OR TIRE SPLASH SHIELD TO REMOVE THE TRANSAXLE BRACE PLACE FLOOR JACK WITH A PIECE OF WOOD IN JACK SADDLE PLACE JACK UNDER THE ENGINE OIL PAN.SLIGHTLY RAISE JACK A LITTLE JUST ENOUGH TAKE PRESSURE OFF THE TRANSAXLE TO REMOVE TRANSAXLE BRACE.DONT RAISE FLOOR JACK UP TOO MUCH UNDER THE ENGINE OIL PAN BECAUSE YOU COULD DAMAGE OIL PAN AND OIL PUMP.

Where would the jack and other tire changing equiptment be found in the van?

Lift rear hatch and locate and remove cover on driver side rear corner, jack etc should be behind there. Your spare should be hanging under back of van, ahead of rear bumper. Unfortunately, 9 chances out of 10, the cable and mechanism holding it up there will be rusted and won't work, so don't get too frustrated if it won't come down. A lot of people cut the cable, and lay tire in back. Who knows, you may be lucky, and it will work. Good luck ! Be careful, it's heavy, so if you cut cable, have something up against it like a floor jack or something so it doesn't come down on your head.

Where do I put the jack to change the tire? When I put it under the car it only lifts the frame and not the tire.

Put the jack as close to the tire on the frame as you can. If the jack is too close to the center of the car it wont get the car tire up to the height it needs to be to lift off the ground. Hope that helps!

I need to lift up my 1993 eagle vision to change the front tires but don't know where to place the jack. my bottom is rusting so i want to be sure i'm on the frame

Look in your Owners Manual for the Recommended Jacking Points for your vehicle, Each vehicle is different so (one point specific point for all vehicles) does not always apply.

Sounds like flat tire but not

Have your universal joints and CV joints checked. I had the same problem and the Jeep dealer had it on the lift 4 times before they found it.
