SOURCE: 1999 isuzu rodeo
i have same problem. get ready to pay around 2400+. as a matter of fact mine is in the shop right now. you cannot check the fluid yourself. it's up under the bottom. no dip-stick. its a joke, i have a 99 rodeo. will drive it long enough to get my 2400 out of it and then its a gonner !!!! sounds like it is going to create alot of problems if i keep it.

SOURCE: TRANSMISSION SLIPS IN 3RD GEAR.
Its a early sign of your tranny about to go. A flush wont help so be aware. It looks like Troopers with about 100k miles are prone to this problem.

if your close or over 100,000 miles, better to have the tranny rebuilt.

Testimonial: "Thank you for the info.! Thats what I thought would be best as well, that way its done & has a warranty of some kind. Again T.Y., Jeff Dooley"
check gearbox oil level as dry syncro rings can also cause your box to jump out of gear ,detent springs are only for giving u the feel of positive gear engagement.
