While driving veh lost power, as if not getting fuel. RPM would not go up to 2000. Could only go 10-15 mph. Did not stall. that could not be diagnosed.

the voltage to electronics is critical and any loss of generated power from the alternator will result in under voltage to the ECM
that in turn throws out the set parameters of the sensors and so the ECM goes into reduced power mode
the surging could be an intermittent fault in with the alternator , failing cells in battery or loose or failing drive belt
before you spend money on new alternator and battery, you can have the battery load tested and the alternator bench tested as the fix can be reasonably simple

FUEL FILTER,,IF IT IS OLD-REPLACE!
FUEL PUMP NOT REALLY SUSPECT.....BUT POSSIBLE AS IN A THERMAL SHORTING (AFTER A SHORT TIME)
YOU HAVE TO DETERMINE WHETHER THIS DELAYED STALL ISSUE, IS COMING FROM A FUEL OR ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION. IE: ELECTRIC CUT OUT...SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER...FUEL ISSUES: ROUGH RU..THEN SHUTS DOWNNING, BUCKING & SURGING
IF YOUR NOT FIXED...JEFF AT: JLGPROP@!YAHOO.COM THE WORX GROUP L.L.C.

Complete Electrical failure. fuses and battery good?

Sounds more like you have a bad alternator that is unable to keep the battery charged. Once the battery dies while driving, the spark plugs will no longer be able to ignite and the fuel won't burn, causing your engine to shut off. Some cars have a fuseable link between the battery and alternator that will burn out, or partially burn out causing the same symptoms and is a lot cheaper to replace. Check that first.

Driving along lights dimmed, instrument panel died, loss of power then engine cut out & wouldn't start. Starts with a jump but when i turn key to heat glow plug, instrument panel goes mad

I assume there's a problem with alternator. Check the grounding to engine, check continuity of a positive wire between alternator and battery. the energizing voltage should be checked as well. Might be the bad connection between battery and vehicle body grounding. Diesel cars are sensitive even in a little loss of connection and rust in the connection points.

My murano keeps running down battery and loses power before it cuts off completely

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Is the battery new? If not then the battery may have reached it's break point. If the battery is faulty, it tends not to hold charge. That's why even you have it charged it will eventually fail and will surely have power loss.

If the battery is new then the problem can be on the alternator. If the alternator is faulty, it tends not to return the discharged current. I strongly suggest that you have the alternator replaced to resolve the issue.

If the problem still persists even when the battery and alternator is new, have the electrical wirings checked. If there are cut or loosen wires, this issues occurs. I strongly suggest that you visit an auto electrician to trace it out.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Suddenly cut off after lossing electrical power on all inside lights and gauges. also has low charge. is it the alternator or battery? also the o2 wire is disconnect

there may be a short on the battery (most likely) yet you can get it checked for free at any local (national chain) auto parts store they will check both at no charge to you and offer replacements remanufactured alternators usually they have in stock.

I had a gradual loss of electrical power while driving a 1999 Ford Escort, resulting in surging and eventual stall. I had the battery load tested and it was acceptable. The alternator was only putting out...

Test the alternator again to make sure it is putting out the correct voltage. Also if you have a bad connection on the battery and battery cables you can cause arcing and that can drain you battery and will also cause the car to lose electrical power and stall like you had happen. Buy a batter terminal cleaner at any auto parts store and give the terminals a good cleaning and then tighten them down so they dont move.

Whilst driving along the electrics gradually cut out, starting with the radio, power steering, instrument panel then totally cuts out on a fiat seicento

check your battery cables make sure there tight and secure but what i think you will find is a fuseable link going from the battery to the wiring harness has blown and once you replace that!! then you need to find the component that cause it to blow which wil probably be the heater motor also check and make sure your alternator belt didnt fall off
