Question about 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette
Did the window go down like normal or was it sluggish? If sluggish it could be the motor, sometimes with the key turned on holding the switch in the up position pound on the trim panel middle or slightly below center with your hand if the window starts to move it's the motor. If the window went down normally it's probably the switch. Look at the dome light when operating the switch if the light dims it means the circuit is complete and it's most likely the motor, if the light does not dim the switch or wiring is bad, try the switch first. One word of caution changing a motor can cause bodily injury if you've never changed a motor before take it to a mechanic as the regulator is spring loaded!
