Question about 2006 Honda Accord

3 Answers

My 2006 Honda Accord battery went deaded. I jumped the car, but my Radio began flashing "CODE". I have the radio code, but can't seem to get guidance on how to enter teh numbers. If I exceed 10 tries something locks me out. I am up to error 6. Can anyone help me find how to enter the radio code? Thank you

Dear friend, you have to use the right knob and turn it to the first number of the code and let go of the knob. Once let go of the knob, the "C" will appear. The turn the knob again, to the 2nd number of your radio code, then let go. Repeat steps until you finish with all 4 numbers in the code. Hope that help

I corrected my problem here's how.
You can get your codes (key code, audio-radio code, navi system code) in your Honda service History page 1----Pre-delivery Inspection.
Once have the code turn on the car without starting and wait for 20 seconds--the motor symbol with flash off then key in the codes according to the numbers on the radio keypad.
I had 5 numbers, so I just keyed in the 5 numbers on the radio keypad and then it was corrected.

added info: the radio was not on when I turned on the key.
After the 20 seconds and the motor light flashes off turn on the radio then key in the numbers. Just to clarify.
    good luck.

Radio won't come on

when battery dies the radio deems this to be that someone is trying to steal it and it goes into anti-theft mode and disables itself u need to notify a dealer the codes are dealer issued because they are considered a part of the vehicles security system call the dealer first will explain how to retrieve the radio id number which is needed

Battery dead on 2004 Honda had to be jumped now radio crashed

Any time battery is disconnected the radio has to have a code reentered. This is a theft prevention issue. You should have gotten the code if you bought the car new, if not call the dealer and he can provide it.

Re key less entry have no idea but could be same issue.

2006 honda accord, after changing the battery. resetting the radio code. the radio will not pick up any stations???

Unless the Accord was jump started, creating possible power surge to damage radio, it should not of had any relationship to the radio.

But, just in case, would suggest disconnecting battery for 5 minutes, reconnecting battery, reentering radio code and see what happens.

If that fails, hopefully your under 36k miles or got the Factory extended warranty "Honda Care" Service plan, so take to the Honda Dealership to see what they say.
